Update 9/1/26: apparently some people are getting this offer again for $30 back with $250 spend. And others are seeing 15% back, up to $30 back. These are valid through 10/20/26. (ht to reader getsavewise) I don’t see it on my cards and haven’t seen others discuss, so it might be highly targeted.
The Offer
Check your AmEx Offers for the following deal:
- Spend $250 or more at Airbnb with your enrolled AmEx card and get $50/5,000 back. Valid through 5/5/26.
- Others got a lower offer for $30/3,000 back.
The Fine Print
- Qualifying Purchases Offer valid online only at US website airbnb.com or through the Airbnb mobile app.
- Offer valid only on purchases made in US dollars.
- Offer only valid on purchases made directly with the merchant.
- Offer not valid on purchases made using third parties, such as resellers, delivery services, or other intermediaries.
Our Verdict
It doesn’t seem possible to split an Airbnb booking between two cards. Buying gift cards also won’t work presumably since it routes through a third party. Still a nice little savings on an Airbnb purchase.
