Original Post 5/27/26:
The Offer
This shows under Capital One offers (the offers in the credit card login)
- Capital One offers is offering $10/1,000 points back when you spend $20+ at select merchants including: Home Depot, Sam’s Club, Chewy, Dollar General & More
Our Verdict
Some important things to note with Capital One offers:
- Don’t click through to the offers until you’re ready to use them otherwise they will disappear.
- Use them in the order of best value as often if you do one the others will disappear.
Fantastic deal if you’re targeted, unfortunately most people won’t be.

There actually is a place you can check the status, but it is only viewable on the desktop version of the website. I will admit I used Offers for a couple years before I ever found it. When logged in to the Capital One Offers website, look for a hamburger menu at the very top upper right corner. There will be an option to view “Shopping Trips.” It defaults to “trips with purchases” but if you change it to “all shopping trips” you should see a trip ID for every time you activated an Offer and the status next to it. It very well might say “Waiting” as the status for a bit. I doubt that an Amazon gift card balance reload would count because the terms usually exclude gift card purchases. But you might luck out. If you activate an Offer and make a purchase, I recommend taking screenshots of everything, including the page where you activated the offer, the terms and exclusions, checkout, and confirmation. It can take up to a month but usually within about a week I receive an email saying my purchase was eligible. I’ve noticed for card-linked offers they don’t pay out until after the offer’s expiration date. For online offers, I recommend turning off tracking prevention and enabling cookies for the capitaloneoffers domain.
escot So far, it looks like my Petsmart purchase will not be tracking. However, it could be because of a second order I placed… When I first logged in and saw all the Spend $20 get $10 offers, I clicked and shopped through Petsmart and placed my in-store pickup order. I then went back to the Capital One offers and saw the other Spend $20, get $10 offers were still there for other stores (I even refreshed the page). Then I placed a Staples in-store pickup order through that link. I went back to the offers page, and the other stores still showed. I think it was maybe 30 minutes later they finally all disappeared. A bit later, I went out and picked up the Staples first and Petsmart second. Next day, the Staples purchase showed as tracking in Pending status in my Cap1 offers “Trips with Purchases,” but Petsmart showed nothing and was still under the “Trips Without Purchases” section. It remains that way now. I’ve placed probably around 30 Petsmart orders, including one a few days ago, and they all tracked (The Spend $20, get $10 was the first order that didn’t). I’m wondering if they only allow you to redeem one of those offers, and in my case, the Staples tracked. I had read others say they had multiple offers track in the past, and I had interpreted the “Limit one use” fine print to mean one use per individual store offer. But who knows. I will not bother trying to call Capital One as I’m sure it will be a huge hassle.
OMG. When I logged in, I saw a bunch of the $10 back with $20 purchase (Lowe’s, HD, Macy’s, Ebay, Petsmart, etc). I read the Lowe’s fine print, and I had to click through their link and buy from that 1 window online within 24hrs. So I did, then I went to dinner. When I came back, I logged back in and all the other $10 for $20 purchases offers were GONE! What a serious bummer! Ahhhh…I just read the VERDICT, which warns that the other offers are often gone when you use one. And I was so excited ☹️.
In my case, I made the purchases in late May and early June … the credits posted 7/3.
You might even get an email about it ….. ‘congrats! Your $10 back when you spend $20 at Dollar General is ready to go’ ‘your $10 back when you spend $20 at Dollar General expires May 31, 2026’
Sense >> since … can’t edit.
Thank you! It’s nice to not have to worry about tracking then
Please note that the $20 minimum purchase for EBAY does not include shipping. I just found that out on two purchases.
I tried once before and it did not track. Don’t trust them any more.
I log into my accoount and use capital one offers and it never works annoying
P1 did six CVS offers on Capital One Offers and got credited for each one. P2 did the same but they stopped crediting. Spend $20, earn $10 still shows up for P2, but I assume that will not credit regardless of whether it is used on CO or Discover.
Are there any good Venture X card offer right now? Thanks!
I did get this one and used it on home depot. Interestingly enough after placing the home depot deal, it still showed it for Lowe’s but I am assuming it was because the status was not updated. As soon as I switched the card to see if the offer was available on the discover, the offers went away from all of them since I had already used one.
I know this has been an issue with Capital One shopping. Is it also a problem with Capital One offers?
Wow. I finally can see Capital One offers. They’re showing up under my Discover it card. Still nothing under Savor or Quicksilver.
My rant was directed at both portals since I’ve had issues with both, sorry for the confusion. I imagine that for offers you’d call the support line like any other issuer.
ive used it once and had it track well. it was a get $10 off your gas purchase at citgo. filled up for $20 and got the statement credit about 2 weeks later.
Still nothing is tracked and support never helps!
part of reason I never use Capital One. Support is egregiously bad compared to Rakuten, too
Used to be $20 back on $20 spent (lowes and home depot)
For Capital One Offers? Through the Capital One portal, not Capital One Shopping?
Email to help@capitaloneshopping.com
How are you contacting support to send screenshots?
I would pick Rakuten at 3% back over CapOne at 20%. CapOne doesn’t track on multiple retailers for me even with all blockers disabled with their extension and paid using the card in the linked offer. Even when presented with screenshots of every step of checkout with their extension clearly promising cashback the best support will do is offer a curtesy credit of a fraction of the promised cashback. Atleast with Rakuten you know you’re getting what was promised.
same, same
What web browser is the best use for capital one offers? last time i used Chrome it’s only showing as a shopping trip without purchase.
may vary depending on fine print “offer details” for each merchant. (devils therein, important to check)
Observations: (I currently have 360 Checking/Debit card, plus Venture1; more pending) All my versions of the current 20/10 offers indicated on-line orders only — though could do in-store pick up. Devils in details/fine print on all of these. (can vary from merchant to merchant. The fine print on Lowes excludes lumber; the one for Home Depot did not. The one for Staples excluded ink — which I didn’t catch til after I ordered last week…:-( . will see. Also. fine print on many offers (like the ones I had for Home Depot and Lowe’s specifically exclude gift cards. Yet if it doesn’t exclude them, and if you can use in store, maybe so?) No expiration dates obvious; if you see one you like, use it asap before it vanishes. (I again have a 48% or 48x in miles back offer for Temu — up to $100 — astonishing. Will test tonight, and copy/photo everything. As DoC notes, once you use one, the others (including for other brands, like Staples & Office Depot) will disappear, if on same login — if not instantly, within a few hours. I had them for both HD & Lowes this am on two different cards. Used one early today @ HD — hours later, disappeared on both cards, for both and all other 20/10 offers. Others experiencing the same? Wondering if creating separate logins for EVERY Cap1 product would help…?
how to use these offer in store…like CVS one?Some1 mentioned they got GC.
I have never had capital one shopping track properly. I even installed in browser, no vpn, np popup blocker, etc. The browser extension shows everything should track and I took screenshots. Then magically i never get any rewards……………
