Update 10/6/26: A number of interesting deals:
- Signup bonus is now $25 instead of $15 for the new member. That’s pretty good for a portal signup. You’ll need to get $10 in Confirmed Cashback before the $25 signup bonus becomes available. (That’s my referral link, thank you.)
- Best Buy and Sephora 10%, valid through October 7th
- eBay 5%, valid through October 7th
- This special offer page has an offer to get $10 after selling your first item on eBay.
- Also 110% on some VPN services, just note that these sometimes go even higher than 110%.
- $10 back if you make your first Uber or UberEATS order through the portal. Valid through October 9th.
- $100 back on AT&T prepaid activation. Unusually high for a prepaid activation.
- Temu 50% for new customers
ShopBack Highlights
Direct Link to ShopBack (this link contains my referral code)
ShopBack is a cashback portal and extension – click through the portal or the extension and earn cashback on purchases at hundreds of retailers.
Here a few interesting offers that I see right now; these offers will change over time. You should be able to see many of the current boosted deals at this link.
Amazon (portal link)- ShopBack is offering 1.5% .2% cashback on Amazon purchases, up to $5 per order and up to 5 purchases each month. Note: The terms exclude purchases paid with your Amazon gift card balance. For the Amazon cashback you need to click through the extension.Walmart (portal link) – currently they are offering 20% back on Walmart purchases in select categories. Max $15 cashback.Doordash (portal link) – 10% back, up to $10 back on an order.Uber EATS – earn $4 on each order (not limited to first order like on other portals).
Referral Bonus $15 & More
ShopBack has a nice signup bonus of $15 for new members who sign up using a referral link. The $15 will reflect immediately in your ShopBack. Within 180 days, the new member has to earn $15 in Confirmed Cashback. The $15 referral bonus will then become available if you’ve confirmed your Paypal withdrawal details.
There’s also a $15 bonus for the referrer. After signing up, you’ll be able to find your referral link on this page.
If you ever wanted to buy me a drink, here is my ShopBack referral link. Thanks. 🙂 (You’ll see the referral bonus reflected when clicking through the link. You can also go directly to Shopback.com and enter referral code 9f41g1 during signup and you’ll see the $15 signup bonus reflected on the page.)
$5 Extension Bonus
They also typically have a special offer for new members to get $5 for adding the Shopback browser extension and using it once. These offers vary, but keep a lookup on your Quests.
$6 Shipping Bonus
New users typically also have an offer to get $5.98 in bonuses via two $2.99 shipping rebates if you shop through the Shopback browser extension. You have to apply the rebate at checkout and then the cashback shows up in your account afterward. Some report getting those shipping rebates even when there was no shipping cost. YMMV. New users should see this shipping rebate offer on their Quests page. It only works at select retailers (including Walmart, Best Buy, eBay, Petco, Temu, DoorDash, Newegg and more), and only when using the extension. Easyish $5.98 in bonuses.
Quests Bonus
You can also get various other bonuses on Shopback by going to the Quests tab at the top of the page, or use this link. Be sure to ‘Join’ the Quests and then afterward ‘claim’ the bonus. You might be doing some of these activities anyway and these are easy additional bonuses.
Here are some of the Quests bonuses, these bonuses will change over time; I’ll leave these here just as examples:
- $10 bonus for shopping any 3 brands
- $20 on first purchase with a minimum spend of $10 or more
- $20 for spending $250 on travel brands
- For Ulta and Bed Bath & Beyond: shop $100 and get $10 (that’s on top of the regular portal rates)
Note: Quests are sometimes shown only to selected users, and they also have a quota which runs out; it can run out until you ‘Claim’ it so do that as soon as you can. Click on each Quests offer separately to find additional details and terms of the offer.
Cashout
ShopBack offers Paypal cashout and ACH cashout options. $10 minimum required to cashout.

Our Verdict
This looks to be an easy $15 with the initial signup referral bonus if you can get $5 in cashback earnings (e.g. five Amazon purchases or any other merchant). And hopefully you’ll get a few Quests bonuses or other increased offers which can spruce up your earnings further.
Other than the initial signup bonuses, the portal can be useful for the cashback earn on Amazon and for some of the other boosted cashback offers as well. Always compare rates against other shopping portals on Cashbackmonitor or another aggregator.
ShopBack has a Wikipedia page and has apparently been around since at least 2015. They seem to be an established company in other countries and are now expanding into the U.S. (We have no direct relationship with ShopBack.)
The Shopback platform has a sleek and professional feel. I also like that the terms are spelled out clearly for each retailer. Hopefully this will turn out to be another useful shopping portal/extension. Feel free to chime in below with your experiences.

What is everyone doing to earn $10 cashback from shopping in order to trigger the $15 referral bonus?
$5 Quest bonus for completing 1 Shopback Play Milestone. Valid 7/8-7/30. After activating, I did a teeny tier from a game in the “Red Zone” (1st game didn’t track properly after install) and it was available to claim immediately when that milestone tracked. Shows as “Tracked” in history.
I agree shopbacks sucks and they are incredibly trigger happy with deactivation but this post is incredibly long. I would recommend condensing it next time.
Hi, Doc and Chuck, I do not recommend Shopback. They will deactivate your account even when you just followed their usage instructions with no recourses. I can see that others are having similar problem due to the Shipstation offer. Mine is not related to that as I was banned 3 months ago. What’s worse is their customer service tries to only stall and it genuinely feels like an AI is replying to the email. I asked whether you have a contact with Shopback in another post because they deactivated my account 3 months ago and my emails to them were getting nowhere. I just want to let you know of my experience with their customer service, and I will not recommend them in anyways. Mind you, I’ve been a member of Topcashback for 14 years and Rakuten for 19 years without any issue. I started using Shopback after seeing various posts of yours. I installed the extension as they asked me to do so. And whenever I would visit a shopping site, I would just activate their pop up to activate the cashback offer if their offer was higher than other CB sites. Then, in mid-late March, my extension got logged out and asked me to log-in. When I tried to log in, it said my account was inactive. I contacted the CS via email. FWIW, they answers email fast during their business hours. But the email is always about stalling. “They looked into it and they don’t see anything wrong, so they’ll escalate it to another team so that they can reactivate it after review.” I had this back and forth 3-4 times over a month that kept promising me it’ll be resolved and they’ll contact me when it does. I was a bit busy for two months, and later I checked that they never updated me. So for two months, they just left me hanging. So I emailed them back recently, and the same reply. I pushed them back saying they are just stalling. The next sequence of emails show why I feel like the replies are written by an AI. I was always answered by someone name Nayef. 1) They asked me for an invoice of Newegg and the proof of delivery and then accused me of violation of policy without naming what clause. 2) I was fully willing to cooperate first. So I asked for the date of the Newegg Purchase. But I also asked what clause did I violate because I literally just followed their usage instructions. 3) They replied not answering anything that I asked. And now asked when was the last date of Newegg Purchase using the Shopback extension. 4) I told them I wouldn’t know as I don’t have any access to the account and it’s been already 3 months since it was deactivated. But I tried to cooperate by checking my first email to them and giving the date of the Newegg purchase right before that email. 5) The reply after was a doozy. In the same email, they would first ask me for my Newegg Invoice of that date and proof of delivery. Then, it would say I’m banned according to the internal team and there’s no appeal process. I was confused as they literally asked me for the documents for appeal and then right after told me that I’m banned with no appeal process. 6) And what pisses me off was they dragged this whole process on for 3 months. It’s just all stalling. 7) Now I pushed them hard because I never even withdrew any money from them. So how can I even defraud them when I didn’t materially incurred any loss for them. Meanwhile, they are defrauding me because they are holding on to the cashback money that was meant for me and decided to keep them for themselves. 8) After that email, their tune changed. Despite the fact they said there’s no appeal process, now Nayef is saying they are trying to advocate for me and so please submit the documents. As you can see, this company is shady and their business model is ridiculous. They are punishing customers for using their service as they instructed to do so. And I guess it looks like if they make a mistake like “Shipstation,” they’ll punish the customers by banning them rather than just nullifying the cashback. I thought that was the whole point of long delay for us to get the cashback so that they can figure out whether or not the cashback is legit or not. So this is my warning to all the new customers of Shopback. I do not recommend them. You do not know what will cause them to just deactivate your account and keep all your money.
My account has been blocked and restricted. I tried for the 400% shipstation offer but also cancelled and received a refund for it as it never tracked correctly anyway.
shopback disactivated my account with no reason given and I still had money in it. This was after I did the 400% back on shipstation.
Shopback is a scam site. They deactivated a lot of users’ accounts that clicked through from DoC on the 400% back Shipstation offer.
Do you use something else which is better
I’m seeing 5% back on Amazon for next ~3 hours (ends 6pm eastern)
Amazon has been 0.5% Cashback for me through ShopBack for a while. I haven’t used ShopBack for Amazon purchases because of that.
It said Amazon was to start at 12pm CST but the app isn’t showing the new rate yet.
+1, it’s been 0.5% for me for quite a while
Will using the 10% off code invalidate the portal cashback?
@chuck am i the only one recently seeing a major downgrade in amazon only showing .5% cash back instead of 1.5%? if its everyone the post should be updated. i would regularly make $350 purchases to get the $5 cash back max 5x so it was a $25 a month payout addition. i dont regularly make $1000+ 5x for the $25 monthly payout with the now .5% payout rate
Temu 100%, Target 20%, NordVPN 98% today
Can someone please tell me whether I’m hallucinating, or not. I saw the Booking.com 20% cashback.. and made 6 different bookings. At the time, I don’t recall the terms saying “ Limited to 1 order per user.” Can anyone paying attention confirm they added this later? I swear I don’t remember seeing it when I was making my 6x bookings.. but I see it now.. so now I can’t trust whether or not the 20% will track, or only 1 or the bookings will track. I also cancelled 2x bookings that had 12% cashback already (which was already pretty good).. so I’m a little pissed about seeing “ Limited to 1 order per user.” now.
Nice! My $250 purchase (no promo code used) tracked at $25 as expected. After tracking, I noticed I had to click to claim the $10 browser extension bonus on the quest page before the $10 appeared on the My Cashback page.
for me it was $10 at checkout despite it saying $5, I I recall correctly.
Maybe not everyone can see the extension quest. I did apply that code, but for me it was $10 at checkout despite it saying $5.
Physical you can use directly on terminal. Physical looks looks fine compared to wallet one.
Good call out, I didn’t notice that limit. You could get a physical Visa or Mastercard. $5.95 fee + $1.99 shipping. Not sure if the physical can be added to Apple/Google Pay though.
Max is just 100?
I didnt get it last time, it had same terms of limited to 1000 cashback rewards and CS is saying absurd reasons as limited CB availability.
This link which I found linked on the virtual Visa page: https://www.giftcards.com/us/en/catalog/product-details/visa-e-gift-card
Where i can find wallet compatible. So this will be just 18$ mm.
Best of luck regardless! I currently see “Buy $50+ Visa Virtual Account, get $5 Giftcards.com Gift Card with code VISA50” shown on the Visa® Virtual Gift Card product page for those wanting to try their luck and risk the 10% ShopBack cashback 🙂
I just discovered the wallet-compatible Visa eGift has a $6.95 fee vs $5.95 for the virtual, so I’ll plan to go with virtual.
someguy🔗 what quest are you talking about.I just see banner of getting 10$ via purchase from browser. There is nothing in my quest section. also did you apply VISA50 code?..i see that as 5$ bonus on 50$ and above.
I saw the promo code on the non-wallet compatible Visa prepaid credit card page on giftcards.com. yeah the promo code may void the cash back, we’ll see
Where are you seeing $10 free giftcard? Also, if you are inputting a code to get the free giftcard, I suspect it may negate the ShopBack cashback because the terms exclude “Purchases made with Vouchers or Promo codes not featured on our platform”. I’m considering getting the wallet-compatible Visa eGift with no code because of this and it allows using instore with Apply Pay and Google Pay. Thanks for sharing the extension tip!
