Our Verdict
These deals can be useful for someone who plans to purchase from something, anyway, as this can basically be an added freebie.
Hat tip to Chanie G

yes, if you spend $40 on qualifying Sharpie, you’ll get $40 in points.
Does 100% back in points mean $40 worth of points (8000 points)?
I am loving these staples deals. I got a Switch 2 for basically free. I am saving up for a new office chair or computer next.
i also see 50 off 100 at c1s
You can always buy and donate.
Rakuten 10% today for Staples.
Those gel pens are excellent
There’s also an app offer for $15 in points when you spend $60 in-store- this offer stacks with the $40 sharpie offer (checked my account after doing both today), so if you find $20 of additional stuff you need/can use, you’ll get $55 back in points.
I like the Sharpie Gel pens.Might stock up a bit more.
Not many can maximize a deal like this unless your goal is to get high like a few kids used to try in middle school.
I had to contact Staples to receive the full amount of points that I was due for this deal. Apparently, my order was split into two different shipments because they were shipped out on different days. As a result, I only automatically received the points for one of the shipments, and strangely enough, it was the second shipment, not the first one, that got the points. I was able to message Staples through my online account to receive the rest of the points. I had to let them know how many points I was missing and give them a brief description of the offer in question. My pen shipment for $11.24 automatically received 2200 points. However, the shipment with two sets of markers for $10.99 + $17.09 received nothing until I contacted them. The full order was placed on 1/23. The marker shipment was delivered on 1/27 and the pen shipment was delivered on 2/5. Customer service did finally end up awarding me 5600 points for this particular shipment. I contacted them on 4/26 and they gave me the missing points on 4/27, so at least they were quick about responding to my message right away.
Me too. I’m messaging them today.
@saha try messaging customer support which is what I did at first .
I am still waiting for mine to be fixed. Still stuck at 1800 points.
Thanks for this info. I’ll wait and see if mine gets adjusted automatically.
Response from Staples We are sorry that you did not receive the expected points for the 100% Back in Points on Sharpie Products offer that ran from January 18 to 24. We identified an issue, and our team is actively working to resolve it. Impacted transactions will automatically be updated to receive the correct Rewards points within 5 to7 business days. No additional action is needed on your part.
1800 points would be $9. Not that it changes being shortchanged of course.
same here … bought 38 dollars worth, got 1800 back. 3 items … and neither of them individually or as a combo sum up to 18 dollars.
same here – see only $18 worth of points.
I have this issue as well, though I received $16 worth of points, approximately equal to one of the four items I purchased.
Yes, enrolled before ordering.
When did you make the purchase? The offer ended yesterday.
Same issue with others regarding the points rewards not matching up. For $40, should it be 8000 points?
There must be a glitch in the system. I bought $41.46 of Sharpie items and only received 1800 points today. It does not add up at all. The items were $12.99 and $4.99 each so I don’t even know how that results in such even number of points. It does say “ 100% back in points on all Sharpie® products” where the points are from. It does say points will post within 5 business days so maybe it will update in a week.
No, that isn’t an option with Staples.
Celia 🔗 this is an amazing tip! Thank you!
Can you buy stamps with Staples points like you can at Office Depot/OfficeMax?
Did you enroll in the offer first?
Staples gave me only $12 worth of reward points on about $40 worth of Sharpie order. Think something is amiss.
