Chase Refreshes Freedom Flex – Launches With $250 Bonus [No FTF, Cell Phone Insurance Removed & Points Boost]

As rumored Chase has refreshed the Chase Freedom Flex card. Changes are as follows:

• $250 sign up bonus after $500 in spend (normal bonus is $200 but changes frequently)
• Points boost when redeeming points on select hotel bookings through Chase travel. Ultimate Rewards points worth up to 10% more on these select bookings
• Cell phone protection insurance has been removed.  You can view other credit/debit cards that offer cell phone protection here.
• Foreign transaction fees have been removed (were 3%)
• Card art has also been changed

Our Verdict

Bit of a nothing refresh from my perspective.
