Here is what’s happened (which could be a lesson): I obtained my personal referral code via chat (as the HSBC website took a few days to display mine), but somehow the agent gave me a wrong code. I’ve already referred P2 with that one. Spent a lot of time calling HSBC, got it escalated and then fixed. Fortunately, I had the chat history on app, and HSBC admitted it was their fault.
