Card Basics
TD offers the Business Solutions Visa credit card. In this review we will look to see if it’s worth signing up for this card or not.
- Sign up bonus of $400 after $3,000 in spend within 90 days of account opening
- No annual fee
- Card earns at the following rates:
- 3% cash back on phone, internet and cable services
- 2% cash back on dining and at gas stations
- 1% cash back on all other purchases
- 0% introductory APR for six months
- Only available to those in the following states: CT, DC, DE, FL, MD, ME, MA, NC, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, SC, VT, & VA
Our Verdict
Previously this card just offered 1% cash back on all purchases so the 3% and 2% categories are new. Given that you can earn 2%+ cash back on all purchases the 1%/2% categories on this card are useless (even more true when you consider that there are better options for restaurants & gas stations). 3% on phone/internet and cable services isn’t that attractive either given the other options. $300 is one of the better cash sign up bonuses though, but the $3,000 minimum spend requirement is quite high.
Just keep in mind TD reports business cards to your personal credit bureau. You can read more about TD Bank credit cards by clicking here.

i think this is definitely worth a 5/24 for. for 300, probably a pass, but 400 to 500 is always a go for me when when min reqs are low and there’s not much stuff that you’re interested in.
LOL/24, went to pending.
it does reported on personal…
its stated in the terms: “You further understand that this account will be reported to consumer credit reporting agencies, but not to business credit reporting agencies”
i started an app and it asked if i was a us resident nothing about what state. if you include the 2%, the first $10,000 gets you $250 + $500 + $200 = $950. 6 months no fee. not bad, but if it reports to personal its dead to me.
Does anyone have a recent DP about whether this posts to personal credit report? Product has improved again Now a straight 2% (rather than 1% when you buy and 1% when you pay) Now a combined $750 in signup bonus with $10k spend in the first 6 months
Down to 250.- statement credit after 1500.- spend in 90 days.
Can you get this bonus if you received a personal checking bonus from them earlier? I met the spending, statement already cut but bonus didn’t post.
It seems that you can only redeem the extra 1% into an account that has a fee. Lowest is a savings account with a $5 fee that’s waived with a $500 balance.
Didn’t see this discussed – this SUB is NOT churnable, at least per the terms: “This One-Time Bonus Offer is not available if … you previously received a One-Time Bonus Offer on this Account or any other account with us.”
Chuck You have missed to put the direct link on the page. I had to really look for it on the page and found that “is down” hyperlinked. Also it might be worth mentioning while they reduced the bonus to $150, the minimum spend is also reduced to $1k (from $3K)
It shouldn’t be named “business” if they are going to report it to the the personal CRA’s and not to the business ones.
Now back to $300. They must have hit their sign-up targets. Maybe the end of Q4 will get the increased offer back as the marketing team tries to collect their year-end stock bonuses.
I did the 300 about 3 months ago and asked them to match the 400. Wouldn’t budge 🙁
Wow! They credit rewards points quickly. I got all my points, including the $400 bonus, the day that the qualifying purchase posted. The points are worth 1¢ each and can be redeemed for a statement credit or ACH deposit to a checking or savings account.
I got the message “Your TD Business Solutions Credit Card application is being processed. You’ll receive your application decision by mail in 7-10 days.” after applying and received an email three days later saying that I was approved. I did not get any phone calls as other people have described.
Yes it was easy, they don’t verify anything, they called me once during pending to confirm it was me who applied and that’s it.
Same here, took about a week after it went pending and I called for verification.
Just adding my DP. I got an email today that my card was approved.
I did
IME , they only pull experian
Same for me. I called 1-888-561-8861, they verified some information, and it was sent back down for review.
Did anyone get approved for this with a “business”
Added a note, thanks
My application is being processed and they will notify me in 7-10 days. Does that mean denial?
William Charles I think a warning about reporting to personal credit would be useful in your article. The data points above and at myfico indicate that TD Ameritrade reports business accounts to personal credit. $400 is a decent bonus, so will still be worth it to many people. But the reporting to personal credit is certainly a substantial factor to consider.
If the Data points are correct, then yes. 5/24 is based on number of new accounts. The reason Chase, Citi, etc don’t get counted is because they do not report.
banker said they pull a 3 bureaus, can anyone confirm?
If you don’t have a 5/24 problem, Ink Cash is better at 5X.
Does anyone know if TD bank credit cards bonuses are one in a lifetime or they can be done as Chase credit cards bonus?
