American Express’ Membership Rewards Offering 20% Transfer Bonus To AeroMexico Partner

The Offer

• Receive a 20% transfer bonus when you transfer American Express Membership Rewards (MR) points to AeroMexico Club Premier® Miles. For example, if you transfer 1,000 MR points you’d receive 1,200 AeroMexico Club Premier® Miles.

The Fine Print

• Valid until March 6th, 2015
• Transfers seem to happen twice a month, so allow up to 14 days for your transfer to be completed

Our Verdict

This offer is not nearly as good as the 40% transfer bonus American Express was offering to British Airways Avios last month. I think the highest the AeroMexico transfer bonus has been was

I’m not a big fan of AeroMexico, they charge fuel surcharges and fees which can be quite cost prohibitive. If you’re unfamiliar with AeroMexico, I’d recommend the following resources:

• Travel Summary: Redeem AeroMexico miles for 67,000 miles RT business class to Europe
• This Flyertalk post

If you’re a blogger that deals with redemption, then there is a big lack of information on this program. If you post, I’ll make sure to link it here.
