Our Verdict

This is really an opportunity to jump on, in my opinion. I happily grabbed this card with a $100 bonus and haven’t regretted the card for a minute.

• 5x for a few weeks of the year
• Fee-free Amex card for Amex offers  (if you value that)
• Signup bonus
• Targeted spend offers which I’ll estimate to be worth one or two hundred dollars per year (here is a current example)

We don’t know that the 5% will last forever, but it doesn’t seem to be going away for now. And, in any case, you’ll have landed the $200 + a fee-free Amex card + targeted spend offers which I expect will continue.

Do this now! The next go-round on the 5x offer will be in February for All-Star weekend.
