Citi Adds Pop Up Eligibility For New Lifetime Strata Rule

A few weeks ago Citi changed the terms on the Citi Strata cards to include once per lifetime language, rather than once every 48 month language for sign up bonus eligibility. Citi is now showing a new pop up that says you’re pre-qualified for the credit card but not eligible for the new account bonus. It gives you the option to continue without bonus or cancel the application.

It’s nice that Citi are making it clearer if you are/aren’t eligible for the bonus. This should also help us determine what Citi considers a lifetime as we have datapoints for Chase here and American Express is 5-6 years. I wouldn’t rely on the pop up too much (unless you actually see it) as it’s only just been rolled out so might not sure for all aplications.
