Beginning November 5, 2026, Perks Checking will earn $0.25 for each debit card point of sale transaction, up to $25 per statement cycle. Rewards will continue to be automatically credited to your account the business day your statement cycle ends for any qualifying debit card purchases that posted and settled to your account by the end of the statement cycle

At the time of the original change I did say I suspect that to be nerfed at some stage as well, I’m only surprise it has taken this long. You can find more rewards debit cards by clicking here.

They are also adding a monthly fee:

No monthly service charge when you maintain a minimum balance of $1,000 ($10 monthly fee if the minimum balance requirement is not met.)

Some other changes:

  • (1) Outgoing domestic wire fee going up from $5 to $10.
  • (2) Returned deposited item going up from $0 to $10. This has happened to me a couple of times where I deposited my own checks from another bank and compliance at the other bank denied payment on the check for no discernible reason.
  • Other changes less relevant to churners: (3) No more ATM fee reimbursement for ATMs outside the MoneyPass network.
