Update 9/13/26: Looks like the increased earnings/credits have been removed.
I’m reaching back out with an update, and I’m sorry for the delay. We confirmed there doesn’t appear to be a bug here.
It’s expected that you no longer see those other cash back offers because they’ve been removed. Right now, the available cash back offers are for purchases made with any debit card linked to Albert at select retailers, and they can only be seen if you’re on a Genius plan.
I’m seeing you’re on the Standard plan, so I understand if you’d like to cancel if those cash back offers are no longer available to you. Do you want me to go ahead and cancel it for you?
I responded: So what you’re saying is those Albert debit card cash back offers are now only available with a genius plan? When did that change? I never received any communication about it.
Albert: Sorry for any confusion. What I meant is that some cash back offers are available with the Genius plan, and those apply to select retailers.
The offers can be different from what’s available with Genius. The cash back offers that were available on the Standard plan have been removed, but Genius plan customers may still have different cash back offers available.
You haven’t received any communication about this yet, and more information should be shared soon. We just didn’t want to leave you wondering why this was happening when there isn’t anything wrong with your account. The information about some cash back offers being removed should be released soon.

Referrals
You do not get anything extra for being referred, if you successfully refer three people then you skip the six month hold period for your $200 reward. Please do not share your referrals in the comments below, they can be shared in this linked post.
Our Verdict
Really only worth considering if you can take advantage of the offers that reset after 7 days. Keep in mind that most likely you need to keep the account open for six months and pay $120 in fees, so only really $80 after that. Like I said if you can take advantage of the ongoing spend offers it might be worth it.
They raised $100 million in 2021 and an undisclosed round in 2025 from Friends & Family Capital. We previously covered Albert when they were offering bonuses from Swagbucks + a direct deposit bonus.

Yes. It’s worse for me – they gave me nike stock lol.
No problem, have a good weekend too.
This bonus seems a bit messy. I’ve lost track. I had a note on my calendar that an Albert fee would be coming on September 28. But I forgot whether I need to let it charge to keep the bonus or if I can cancel it before the fee hits
Ah, my bad!
deposit 1k withdraw 1k get 80 dollars
0 requirements you say? Slinging them $1k is a requirement, then they milk you for $120 for 6 months and throw you $80 at the end? Bah they can keep their money. Not going to jump through all that bs for $80.. Now maybe for $160 net I would. App looks like dog butt, website is sleepy Ai slop, service offerings are useless – just don’t have the cards Albert. Only thing they got going for them is their name reminds me of the butler from fresh prince. Ima need $160 to partake.
Weren’t Ebay gift cards discontinued anyway?
So where can we go now….I am making a list of whats available not nearly as good as what we had but, something: Amex Offers :CVS and DG for 5 to 10% ymmv Amex offer for Lowes: 20 off 100 Target this week of 9/13: 10 for 100 O4A
I wish I used DoC early, i squeezed just 2 months of use 🙁
Our fees always come out on the 1st of the month, so I transferred out the remaining balances last Tuesday. Even though I saw the funds reach Ally Bank on Thursday, Albert said the transfers weren’t complete yet and couldn’t close the accounts. Tried again on Friday, and they closed the accounts. I also asked Ally to put a temporary restriction on my accounts to prevent any withdrawals, since I’ve read horror stories of Albert taking fees from the external account even after canceling. One thing that I don’t fully understand is the consequences of deactivating the Albert account vs. closing it. I was tempted to deactivate so I could pay the membership fee again down the road if the cash back offers were to return, but I decided to fully close the account to minimize the chances of Albert taking money from the external account. The timing of all this is unfortunate. I was on a cruise with my family the 3rd week of August, so I wasn’t able purchase any gift cards the final week the cash back offers were available.
Mine renews on the 13th so I’m going to wait to cancel for now.
Thanks, I was just going to post. This could be doc effect…or not. Anywayz, good while it lasted. The only question I have is to cancel now or wait the 2 more days for the fee to hit which might be what they are waiting for as well to grab the fee and then send the notification about the end of “some” cashback offers.
I have the Genius plan, but I also don’t see any of the 10-20% cashback offers anymore. There’s only a small handful of offers for retailers I’ve never heard of Edit: Oops, I don’t have Genius. It looks like I only have the Standard plan. I think at some point the paid subscription used to be called Genius and I didn’t realize that there was a higher tier now
Looks like game over. I reached out to CS vis text with this response: Hi Josh, I’m reaching back out with an update, and I’m sorry for the delay. We confirmed there doesn’t appear to be a bug here. Me too, 0 cash-back offers besides the crappy ones that are available for all cards linked. Will wait for the 6 month hold and close all the accounts.
Might finally be game over. I was traveling for the past week, so I haven’t been able to take advantage of the offers. I returned over the weekend and was able to see all of my cashback offers yesterday and even used the 20% Whole Foods offer to buy an Amazon gift card, but after an app update in the past 24 hours or so, I can’t find any of the good offers on my phone or my wife’s phone.
Churnable?
Are you referring to family plan, or 2 individual plans?
They are shady, they gate keep lot of things. This is based on my observation.
Where did you see that? I couldn’t find anything in Albert’s terms saying offers are weekly with direct deposit and monthly without it.
Update: It does count as Costco.
I see all of them, you need direct deposits to keep getting the offers weekly, otherwise it’s monthly
Did anyone’s cashback options on target, Walgreens, CVS and Walmart disappeared?
This app is a pain, FYI. It takes a week just to transfer the money to it.
It is taking forever to just add money to spend account. What a joke!
curious if i can just purchase costco shopcard on costco.com and get the cashback?
have the same question today!
Yes, but it generally codes as online on my BoFA, and in-store codes as warehouse. This discount is specifically for groceries. So curious about data points.
I bet since it’s processed by Costco
😅
