The Fine Print
- This offer is available online only and may not be available if you leave this page, visit bankofamerica.com, visit a Bank of America financial center, or if you call the bank.
- This offer is intended for new customers only; you are not eligible for this offer if you were an owner or signer on a Bank of America Business Advantage Banking account within the last twelve (12) months. Bank of America employees are not eligible for this offer.
- Offer expires on December 31, 2026, and all qualifying activities must be completed within the stated time frames. This offer may not be combined with any other offers. You must meet all requirements of this offer to receive the bonus. Only one Business Advantage Banking account bonus ($400 or $750) offer per business owner, regardless of the number of businesses owned or operated by the customer. Bank of America may change or discontinue this offer at any time before this date without notice.
- You may receive different Bank of America promotional checking offers by various methods, i.e., mail, in person or email/online. These promotional offers may have different terms based on how Bank of America introduces them.
- Requirements to Receive a Business Advantage Banking Cash Bonus:
- Open a new Business Advantage Relationship Banking or Business Advantage Fundamentals™ Banking account online through this offer’s webpage by December 31, 2026, to be enrolled in this offer. If you open your account by any other means, you may not be eligible to earn the cash bonus.
- Deposit New Money* directly into that new eligible Bank of America Business Advantage Banking account within thirty (30) days of account opening (“Deposit Period”). At the end of the Deposit Period, all New Money deposits made directly into new eligible Business Advantage Banking account will be totaled to determine which Balance Requirement you have met and which corresponding Cash Bonus Tier you are eligible for (see Bonus Chart below).
- Maintain a daily balance in that new Business Advantage Banking account that meets the applicable Balance Requirement (see Bonus Chart above) during the Maintenance Period**. During the Maintenance Period, if your daily balance drops below the minimum of the Balance Requirement listed for a corresponding Cash Bonus Tier, you will no longer be eligible for that Cash Bonus Tier but may be eligible for a lower tier (as applicable, based on the lowest daily balance during the Maintenance Period). If your daily balance drops below $5,000, you will no longer be eligible for a cash bonus.
- New Money is new funds deposited into your Business Advantage Banking account that are not transfers from other Bank of America accounts or Merrill investment accounts. A transfer done via ATM, online or teller, or a transfer from a Bank of America account or brokerage account, such as a Merrill account, is not considered new money. A cash withdrawal from an existing Bank of America account and deposited into the new Business Advantage Banking account is not considered new money.
- The Maintenance Period begins thirty-one (31) calendar days after account opening and ends ninety (90) calendar days after account opening.
- After you satisfy all of the requirements, we will attempt to deposit the earned bonus directly into your new eligible Bank of America Business Advantage Banking account within sixty (60) days. The new eligible Bank of America Business Advantage Banking account must be open and in good standing up to and including the date any earned bonus is paid.
- All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them
Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
Business Fundamentals at $16 per month. Fee is waived for smaller companies for the first 12 months, otherwise you must:
- Maintain a $5,000 combined average balance, or
- Spend at least $500 in new net purchases on your business debit card, or
- Become a member of Preferred Rewards for Business
There is no fee for smaller companies for the first 12 months
Early Account Termination Fee
There is no early account termination fee.
Our Verdict
There is a bigger bonus available but that requires contacting a small business banker. $750 tier is also worse with that offer and there is no $400 tier, so only worth considering if you will do the $1,000, $1,500 or $3,000 tiers.
These accounts basically earn 0% APY and at best case you are going to have to tie up funds for 60 days (probably more like 90 days to be safe). If you put the $5,000 into a 5% account you’d only earn ~$62.5 and ~$187.5 for the $750 bonus so obviously these bonuses are significantly better and well worth doing.
As this bonus is available online we will add them to our best business checking bonus page.

Finally, I got my boner! Indeed, it seems like 90 days + 1 week from account opening and then comes on Friday. TY MikeSauce and Monty.
I forgot to push in so really skirting on the date requirement here. If I opened on Sep 13 (Sunday), when would be my day 30? Hopefully it’s Oct 13, I supposed?
In case if others have the same question: In 2026/09/03 version, the terms at the bottom of the web page state: Requirements to Receive a Savings Bonus: (1) Enroll in the offer… (2) Deposit New Money… If you do not already own an eligible Bank of America business savings account, you must open one for this offer.
Totally understand. If we could delete our own comments I’d happily delete.
Plenty of other places like that and even if we did have a dedicated off topic thread I don’t think we would be allowing that sort of conversation anyway purely due to take down requests.
Yeah, understood. I wish we had a forum of sorts here that we could discuss stuff that isn’t necessarily a bank bonus but that some of us might be interested in.
Please do not break the rules, also this isn’t the appropriate place to be discussing this.
Guys, no. Stop trying to break the rules by sharing referrals, you’re not only breaking the rules but your so off topic it isn’t funny. Please be respectful and follow the rules you agreed to.
I’ve been putting it off but I just created a Linktree. It kinda sucks that the free one only allows three links. Let me know if it works for you. Lol James
Yeah very off topic and neither of us do those URL link things on the username. Lol. I put my junk/spam email in the URL box. Maybe that’ll work. Edit, nvm doesn’t work lol.
Thank you !
Just a DP that I got a “promo enrolled” email about 2 weeks after acc opened. Thanks Frey!
I didn’t enter the code and it did not auto populate, left it blank. A few weeks after opening I received an enrollment confirmation letter.
Hi Jim, thanks for sharing the promo code and your cautionary tale/experience with this offer. I know it’s going to save a ton of hassle for folks like me who are about to jump on this. As of today 9/29/26, the URL is still showing SMACIS as the promo code. Perhaps DoC should point this out in the offer description above. Calling after a few weeks to verify is also excellent advice !
Wow, that’s a pretty solid profile there. Did you find out what happened ?
Hi everyone, I’m doing the $15k/$750 offer: https://promotions.bankofamerica.com/smallbusiness/biz2toffer#offer ) and the application asks “Do you have an offer code?”. I looked around but did not see one. Do I just say NO, or is there one for this offer ? Thank you !

I’d just wait a couple more days to be safe.
Jack I haven’t tried again yet. I have always had a hard time getting Bank of America opened, even personal account(s) for some reason though. I’m about to be all tied up on liquidity in a bunch of holds for another month, but maybe I’ll try later October.
What does it mean, the monthly fee “ is waived for smaller companies “. How is that defined?
Did anyone attempt the $500 bonus offer that BoA sent by email? It was for depositing $5K and keeping it for 90 days. I’m wondering if anyone received this bonus.
If I closed a biz checking with them in mid Sept ’25 would I be eligible or do I need to wait till Oct 1st?
The higher tier bonus 50k and more are worthless as you would get more in a saving/CD. 15k if you have it is the best option.
Oh wow, good to know. Thanks.
I read the same.
I opened back on 3/23 and received the $750 bonus on 7/3. I’m currently doing the targeted (I think it’s targeted) $500 bonus for depositing $5k by day 30 of enrollment (deposited 9/4) , and hold from day 31-90.
tuphat I wonder whether you would get a different result applying through a BRM, who might be able to push it through. There should be a similar bonus available through that channel: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/targeted-ymmv-bank-of-america-1000-business-checking-bonus-with-30000-deposit-available-online/ I always do this promo through the BRM for that reason.
last 12 months, from the account open or bonus received or account closed? I would think since last account closed??do you guys read it the same way?
The Maintenance Period begins thirty-one (31) calendar days after account opening and ends ninety (90) calendar days after account opening. 30 days to deposit. Day 31 sets your amount. 60 days later ends maintenance period. MassHole
ink_me_please Any reason why you’re holding off?
