Our Verdict
New Palladium card comes with Gold status if you spend $4,000 in the first three months, not sure how long that takes to trigger. Can also use Bilt cash to upgrade status ($200 to upgrade one tier).
These transfer bonuses are the best times to use Bilt points and one of the rare occasions when a speculative transfer can make sense.

Maybe worth transferring this 1000 points to get diamond status till the end of the year.
Here is a question for my long-haul Amtrak friends… I have 16K Amtrak points I have 377K Bilt points and Bilt Gold status Many years ago, I did the Seattle to Los Angeles Coast Starlight route and the Denver to Emeryville (San Francisco) California Zephyr route in the family bedroom with all meals included. I don’t have any plans to take the train in the North East, but I am interested in other long-haul Amtrak routes. Which routes and time of year do you recommend and how many Amtrak points would I need to book another family bedroom?
1990 and hating in a Bilt thread. Name a more iconic duo.
Nah. The hilton option stinks but Amtrak transfer rate is very good
Really!? 12.5k points is easily worth $250. It still seems like good value for 400 Bilt cash
Amtrak with 75% bonus seems worth it. I wouldn’t part with B$400 for additional 12.5K points plus 100K in your Amtrak account is A LOT for a casual rider.
It’s a trap, they already did the transfer bonus once in the last 4 months.
400 Bilt cash!? Argh, that is double what I was expecting. I currently only have 360 and haven’t paid mortgage yet. I guess I will have to spend $1000 quick and hope it posts by the 1st
Anyone with a Bilt Palladium card who regularly rides Amtrak is about to lock in a 2.3 cpp value from this transfer bonus. Sounds pretty good to me!
Hello Ankur
Not “at this rate” but… Audience Rewards (yeah, think Broadway shows), oddly, only by phone. (Learned that recently.)
Lol, show me who else is offering Amtrak transfers at this rate, I will wait.
these stink on ice
This Amtrak promo is fine, but the Hilton offer is really weak. Bilt’s regular 1:1 transfers are horrible, and even with a max 200% bonus, Hilton’s low 0.5 cpp makes it worse than transferring to Hyatt, United, or Alaska (even without transfer bonus). Hilton status already comes with cards like Aspire (Diamond), Surpass and Amex Platinum (at least Gold, which gets breakfast). Not to mention, Amex standard 1:2 transfers for Hilton are solid (plus they have a 30% bonus there through mid-Oct.) There’s also a targeted Bilt grocery promo, capped at 1,000 bonus points on $200 spend, but it’s easily beaten by existing cards offering 4–6x back all day long (Blue Cash Preferred, Amazon Prime, Amex Gold, etc.) Oof.
Doesn’t AMEX already give you a 100% bonus to Hilton 24/7/365? The Hilton bonus seems like nothing special. It’s a skip for me…
