Avoiding Fees

Monthly Fees

This account has no monthly fees

Early Account Termination Fee

Unsure if there is any EATF.

Our Verdict

Annoying they don’t tell you the requirements before signing up, also means they could be changed at any time. Capital One acquired Brex for $5.15 billion earlier this year. Sole props are not eligible.

Newest-first by default, because “is it still working?” matters most.

I just got this offer: sign up by Sep. 30, spend $4000 within 30 days, get $1000 credit https://www.brex.com/q3-sign-up-offer

Any update on how this bonus is going? I am considering doing this referral bonus with the simulated payroll and ACH payments, but am curious how you are doing with it

SO
someguy🔗#2377871

No, support said “Giftcard delivered by 9/15” so I will have to wait and see.

“ We’re continuously working to expand our solutions to support more businesses in the future.” Doubtful.

Yesterday I finally received an email saying denied… Legit S-corp tax designated LLC with EIN. Thank you for your interest in Brex. We’ve reviewed your application, and unfortunately, we’re unable to approve Carpenter Creative, LLC for an account at this time for the following reason: Your application did not meet our verification requirements at this time. We’re continuously working to expand our solutions to support more businesses in the future. Sincerely, The Brex Team

I applied in the very beginning. It seemed that people were getting more likely to get approved when this offer was first posted. Overall, I don’t think I did much else differently. I am going to apply again once I have $50k in account that I link to see if that makes them excited and let me open one, but it wont be until after the offer expires, so I will be trying the referral route for that one. The only real thing I can think of is that my LLC is tech based, and it looks like they may have a preference for tech startups based on their current clients.

I applied with my work email and S Corp LLC days ago and still haven’t received any communication and my dashboard still says under review -You should receive a decision on your Brex application quickly — usually within 1-3 business days.

What did someguy🔗 do different from everyone else? Seems like the only one who’s gotten approval lately.

Applied with an LLC using biz email, last page said under review, then next day I signed in to check and see: “Unfortunately, we cannot approve you for an account at this time. Applications can be rejected if they did not pass our internal screening process, or closed if the application was inactive for 60 days or more. If your application did not pass our internal screening, we sent you an email notice explaining this decision.” No email notice explaining decision though..

SO
someguy🔗#2374022

I haven’t heard of anyone get approved lately. It seems they ramped up their qualifications.

You can redeem points for couple hotel chains and airlines (including Cathay and Airfrance/KLM). The ratio in average 1 point equal to 0.86 miles.

yeah I would not use my real job here where your are only an employee. Your employer is going to get calls asking to speak to you about opening an account. It will be suspicious, like you are trying to do financial transactions in their name.

EG
EGEG#2373025

I tried doing it with a real LLC and was unceremoniously rejected. I have no website for the business or social media profile for it other than Linkedin.

SO
someguy🔗#2372917

Forming a single member LLC is probably the cheapest and easiest when it comes to filing taxes and everything. States are different with their formation cost, annual/renewal cost (if any), and cost and process for dissolving it. If its only you working (no employees), the taxes are just filed under you as an individual, so its reasonable.

Steve#2372869

Ok thanks. Do you know what the cheapest business entity I can form would be?

Maggie#2372649

For the additional 25K points bonus, does anyone know if the $50K is all at once or cumulative deposits (i.e. I can withdraw and re-deposit funds)? Also, is the deadline the end of the calendar month (7/31/26) or one month from account opening? TIA!

SO
someguy🔗#2372558

Yea, it’s business only. Sole props are not allowed.

ST
Steve#2372538

Thanks, so basically you can only sign up for this bonus with a business?

I got the same denial with a legit LLC

AD

apparently I can either get a mustache comb or a kazoo from the prize counter

SO
someguy🔗#2372495

Nice. Interested to see what that 25k points gets you.

AD
AD#2372490

Continuing our past convo, I reached out today after doing $2,500 in spend and got confirmation over email that I met the terms for both the $500 gc and the 25k points.

SO
someguy🔗#2372446

So the requirements are much steeper to get approved it seems then what they may have been in the beginning.

AC
Acid Bath#2372442

I had over $25k in the account. I did not not receive that pop up. However, I received the following response below. This suggests they have a much higher threshold in mind for the “annualized revenue” requirement. I entered a very high annualized revenue amount, yet my application was still denied. “Unfortunately, we cannot approve you for an account at this time. Your company’s annualized revenue over the past 12 months does not meet our minimum requirement.”

SO
someguy🔗#2372344

Thanks. Good to know, maybe this is why tons of people are getting denied.

CU
Curmudgeon#2372329

I got a pop up that said they wanted to see at least $25,000 in the account but I chose to proceed anyway
