The Offer

Direct Link to offer | Another Link | Terms

  • Brex Business is offering a $1,000 bonus when you sign up for a Brex account and a Brex card and then spend $4,000 within 30 days of card activation (which is when you make your first purchase).

Offer valid September 1 – September 30, 2026. The bonus will typically be applied by your February 2027 statement.

  • Note: Brex requires that you activate the card by September 30th to be eligible for the bonus. I’m not sure how fast Brex gives approvals and sends out cards, but if I was doing this offer I’d apply as early as possible.
  • Note: Brex does not approve businesses that are Sole Proprietorships. Also note, readers say it’s cumbersome to get approved for an account by Brex.

Our Verdict

Previously we saw a $500 gift card bonus, this deal is significantly better at $1,000 statement credit. Brex does not do a hard pull, per this Brex page. And they don’t report the card to personal credit reports, per this Brex page.

Newest-first by default, because “is it still working?” matters most.

they’ll be mining the heck out of everything plaid provides one time & an ongoing basis. Change your password if you’ve given plaid or similar vendors access to “verify” your account

Interesting, I was approved for the checking account (still waiting on the gift card), so perhaps I’ll give this a shot. I have an S-Corp.

Oh damn…. you are are right… they are now C1. I have been on their BL for ~8 years now… They have elephant memory..

Sounds like the same clowns are still running the circus, notwithstanding the acquisition by Capital One. [Apologies to any clowns I may have offended.]

They didn’t ask for revenue. They only asked what will my monthly spend be. I had to connect my bank account via plaid so I guess they were able to see revenue that way.

spamy#2416225

Do they remember a past account? I had opened an account a few years back, which was closed. Don’t remember the reason. Would that a problem, if I tried opening again, with the same legit biz?

Seems like no one here actually reported getting approved. Not worth

Same for me. My Single-Member LLC is more than 10 years old and does between $200k-$300k in revenue a year (connected to Quickbooks during application). Denied for the same reason. Trying to figure out how to contact support to see what the minimum is.

Zoho would give you 5 free emails (+29 alias each).

There are some issuers who let this stuff go and others who happily slap you with fees. Also, even those who don’t hit you with fees may not count these transactions toward bonuses. You might get lucky but it’s more likely to fail on at least one of those counts.

Srock what approximate revenue you had on application?

Applied with LLC Requires a bank account with at least $25K – this was not a problem Denied via email: Thank you for your interest in the Brex card. Unfortunately, we are unable to approve XXX LLC for a 30-day card at this time for the following reason: Your company’s annualized revenue over the past 12 months does not meet our minimum requirement. If you have any questions, please contact support at any time from your dashboard to discuss the decision further and find a path forward.

Tried and they don’t event bother to create an account for me. I used the company email for a LLC and got this “ We were unable to create your account with email xxx@[mydomain].com. If you already have an account, please check your email. Otherwise, please refresh your page to try again. If the problem persists, contact concierge@brex.com .”

“may”? cc funding is definitely a cash equivalent.

Something like that, and something about linking to an account that has 25k in it. I saw someone mention Ramp, wonder if its equally as difficult

They also needed a website and business email as well, right?

Requires ID, bank statements, IRS letter and many other things before declining. Not worth guinea pigging this data harvesting operation imo..

Okay based on the checking (in the comments) it seems like its really hard to get approved: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/brex-500-sign-up-bonus/ I guess no harm in trying other than time though if theres no pull

You can use iCloud+ ($0.99/mo) to do custom domain email, so if you already own a domain name that’s an option for work email

Do you have to jump through lot of hoops if you have a LLC?

SM
Smurfit#2416053

Could you use this card to fund an account? IMO it’d be an easy way to hit the $4k and get all the money back + $1000 They might flag it as it may fall into this: excludes certain transactions, including: cash withdrawals, commercial utilities, money transfers, purchases of prepaid cards and cash equivalents,

DE
Dealgamer#2416052

Oh wow no hard pull and doesn’t report, its like the old Amex Business Prime. Do they need a business website or anything like that? And anyone know if you can fund bank accounts with the card and have it count towards the spend requirement
