Free checking has no monthly fees to worry about.

Early Account Termination Fee

Account Closed within 6 Months Fee . . $25.00 or balance (Applies to Checking, Money Market or Savings Accounts.

Our Verdict

Has offered a bonus of $400 in other markets, so not sure if it’s worth waiting for something bigger? This seems to be the old Unify Credit Union locations so not sure if you’ll qualify if you had an account with them?

Newest-first by default, because “is it still working?” matters most.

William Charles looks like this promo no longer exists although they do have another one up now with a wider footprint. 9% cashback on point-of-sale debit card transactions up to $45 maximum per month, up to a total of $600.

Approved but forgot to enter the promo code 🤦 now no longer seeing the offer

It is almost guaranteed to be a CA transaction if it is allowed, so generally not recommended.

Mike Unfortunately I don’t have any insight regarding in-branch CC funding opportunities, (I didn’t even ask them if it was an option). I just wrote a check for the opening deposit. I would be surprised though if CC funding is an option in branch, (usually it isn’t).

Curious as to if you are able to fund via cc in branch?

Me, P2, and P3 all opened successfully inside of a branch in Los Angeles today. Chex is LOL, but no mention of it was made at all. Very smooth process overall.

FYI. funding via CC fails no matter the card type.

Went through the application process and after 30 minutes of trying over and over again with different browsers because their website kept crashing, they wanted to use my device to do a live scan of my face and ID. Hell no! Not worth the bonus for me and not supporting companies that use that crap

Nope I was basically insta approved over email. Forgot to post an update

Not for me, I was instantly approved few months ago and I was never asked for copy of my Social Security card.

I can confirm that there was no hard pull when I joined CACU few months ago.

Did they also ask you for your social security card?

They want a copy of my social security card…..

I live in Walmartville aka NWA. Just submitted my application and got this – “Yeee, we received the application you submitted online, and we will be in contact with you after it has been reviewed. If you want to check on the status of your application, click the button below.” Will keep everyone posted!

I closed my Unify FCU membership in February 2024. The merger officially completes on August 3, 2026. Thanks to the merger I should once again be eligible for this offer post-August 3, 2026 despite the 3 year lookback term in the offer description since I technically have never been a CommunityAmerica member in the past, (I have confirmed this eligibility information with a CommunityAmerica representative via email, as well).
