Monthly Fees
This account has a $15 monthly fee, this is waived with a minimum $2,000 average daily balance
The required business membership savings has a $500 average daily balance requirement to waive the $5/month fee.
Early Account Termination Fee
I wasn’t able to find an early account termination fee in the fee schedule.
Our Verdict
There is also a $300 personal checking bonus as well. This business bonus is worth doing as well as the requirements are easy. Will add this to our list of the best bank account bonuses.

I do not recall, but probably no since it worked.
Mark do you recall if SSN SP was excluded in the terms when you did this account bonus last year?
Accounts opened using Social Security Number (SSN) or other personal taxpayer identification numbers do not qualify https://kpcu.com/business/banking/business-checking-accounts#:~:text=Accounts%20opened%20using%20Social%20Security%20Number%20(SSN)%20or%20other%20personal%20taxpayer%20identification%20numbers%20do%20not%20qualify . is this enforced for BUS26? has this language been in past offerings? rip SSN sole props?
GZG How did it go, were you approved?
Looks like Bay Area of CA only.
This is in-branch only. William Charles “ Offer available in-branch only and may be cancelled at any time “
William Charles Expired sometime in the last few weeks.
For those doing the targeted existing customer “Pinwheel” bonus, the $50 paid out this month like clockwork for my P1 & P2, on 2/26/26. (Last month’s expected bonus didn’t happen until early this month, on 2/02, which was strange.) Next month’s $50 payout should be the last one for my P1 & P2, for the DD’s that occurred this month. The DD’s are all over with for my players, but per terms, anyone targeted would have had until 10/31 + 30 days to start your first DD. We started DD’s in Sept., $250 posted in Oct., so if you started later, adjust expectations accordingly. Best of luck!
I don’t have a business or company and I don’t have any relationship with the bank. I’ wondering can I still apply for Biz checking for the bonus?
10/31 I messaged for the biz bonus 11/5 bonus posted and sm received stating such
Nevermind – I meant to post on the personal bonus that’s nationwide. This one looks to be in branch only.
I’ve never opened a business checking account and don’t own a business. Is there any difference with this and a personal account or added risk to opening one? Different tax implications?
4/24/25: Account opened, funded $500 from Citi CC 5/11-6/1: 20 real store debits done 9/2/25: Support ticket sent over bonus 9/4/25: $500 bonus credited whew! That one was a lot of work!
Haven’t got my bonus yet either , but I’ve sent a message and got a reply that they would look into it. Hoping the bonus will hit in the next few days.
4/05: Opened in branch with $2k check and added money later for the spend 4/16-6/3: $5 Amazon reloads 8/29: Chatted support asking when promo would hit, support put in a ticket 9/02: $500 Descriptive Deposit BUS25 Bonus Gonna zero and close
April 28 2025 – Acct opened funded $100 April 30 2025 – Charged $15 maintenance fee May 9 2025 – Acct funded $5000 August 28 2025 – $500 bonus posted
Got all excited I might have found a new bonus I could apply for OOS but looks like they changed this offer to in branch only.
I cancelled the app, will be closing my personal account also, and will not be doing business with them again. For this reason. Many small biz don’t file until October anyway. They were very aggressive about it, wouldn’t accept just the Schedule. None of the rest is any of their business. Done with this bank.
Yeah I didn’t complete it. No other bank has ever wanted full tax returns. Too invasive for me. I will also close my personal account for this reason. I see absolutely no reason they need so much private information to open a simple account. Big red flag.
Did you also do the 20 POS debit card purchases? I’m assuming so since you got the bonus
Would love to know as well!
you already got the bonus? What did you message them?
April 18th – account opened – funded $100 April 19th – funded $1,940 – balance $2,040 April 30th – charged $15 maintenance fee for not having the average balance of $2,000 for the month Sent a secure message to ask for a one time curtesy fee waiver. I have a personal account, so I was able to transfer from my personal to my business the very next day after my business account was opened. Aug 1st – $500 bonus received (had to send them a secure message)
I haven’t gotten the bonus either.
Updated
Ken “ $500 bonus credited to checking account within 90 days of meeting requirements.” I’m seeing that the offer is still available but the DoC link needs to be updated to https://kpcu.com/Checking/Business-Checking William Charles Chuck
Passed the 90 days – anyone know when this is supposed to pay out? The deal doesn’t appear to be available anymore so I can’t look up the terms.
Idk if it matters but it shows as “ Point Of Sale Withdrawal Amazon.com”
Amazon reloads
Came here to ask the same question haha. Amazon reloads *should* be fine, no? They are real transactions, after all. But does a POS transaction mean it needs to happen in person, or just that it’s a debit card purchase?
