Update 10/5/26: Readers note that you can’t select whether to use the $15 or $10 credit and you are basically forced into using first the $15 credit and then getting access to the $10 credits. If you like doing restaurant orders, you might want to first do a restaurant order for the $15 credit and then doing orders at non-restaurants to use the $10 credits.
Update 10/1/26: Now live.
Original Post:
Reports are that Chase is adding a $15 monthly credit to their Sapphire Reserve card which can be used for restaurant and non-restaurant purchases. The change goes into effect on October 1, 2026.
- Free DashPass (stays the same now and after October 1st)
- Two $10 monthly discounts on non-restaurant orders (stays the same now and after October 1st)
- One monthly $15 credit which can be used on restaurants or non-restaurant orders like grocery or retail (change from the current $5 restaurant discount – it’s increased to $15 and it becomes usable on anything)
Presumably this addition/change is for both Sapphire Reserve card and Sapphire Reserve for Business card. (People are also wondering how it will apply to CSRB employee cardholders.)
I rarely use the DoorDash credits, but will probably start using this one at $15.
Note: a few months ago, DoorDash added a $20 minimum for pickup orders which makes these credits harder to use in a cost-effective way.
Hat tip to r/creditcards

Is this $15 credit effective from 10/1 only for Personal reserve cards? I do not see it on my Business reserve card…
I’ll add a note
DP: The rollout for this “upgrade” has been a disaster. Credits are now super bugged. You are forced to use the $15 credit first before gaining access to the $10 credits, even if you are using it at a grocery store (like 7-11 or Wawa). There is also a glitch where using the $15 restaurant credit at a place like 7-11 will make it so you can’t redeem the $10 credits later. I see some others in the comment section are making similar complaints. Worth bumping Chuck to warn others so they don’t accidentally burn credits while Chase works on a fix
Not maybe, definitely.
Chase official account on reddit says there will be an app update at some point to select which credit you want to use.
It’s account-specific. My P2 & I are both on Android, they’ve had the minimum for months, I don’t.
The official Chase account on reddit says there will be a Doordash app update to let you select which credit to use. Until then, need to use the higher value one first.
Yes, I just ran into this, and Chase reddits are reporting that you need to use the $15 credit first, then the $10 ones will be available. The official Chase reddit account responded that Doordash will have an app update at some point that will let you select which credit to use.
Credit. For me it comes off the order along with whatever discounts there are like $5 off $25 etc.
Anyone else running into issues? Have 2 CSR, one account only shows the $15 restaurant promo and not the $10 promo. The other account only showed the $10 non-restaurant promo but I could only use it once, when I try to place another non-restaurant order the second $10 promo doesn’t show up. And the $15 restaurant promo won’t show up either.
Maybe its an android vs ios thing?
Weird. I downgraded my CSR to CSP and DoorDash was the first to discontinue me.
Is this a credit on doordash or a reimbursement after a purchase is made? Not seeing a credit in my doordash app.
Slightly off topic but discovered today my Dashpass remains active for a while even though I canceled my Sapphire Preferred in February. Card was removed from my account too as a payment method, so kinda surprised. The 10 dollar grocery promo probably can’t work, though, because requires that card to be payment method. I wonder if I’d just downgraded it I could’ve still used it and Doordash wouldn’t have known difference? Who knows, too late now Will be using Doordash GCs bought from Costco to buy Costco delivered from Doordash, though 😀
Ya same, this has to be a bug right?
Confirming as well, still stuck on $5
Same. Not showing for biz card.
I didn’t see where you could toggle between the $15 off and $10 off options. So I used the $15 at Speedway, because the $15 showed up first. Without the option to select $15 or $10, it might be best practice to use the $15 first (and at restaurants) and then do the $10 convenience stores after tbat.
Peloton strength is $10/month and $0 after CSR. Primary rental card CDW on other Chase cards with annual fee, not just CSR.
I still can do a $10 order and I’m using iOS and I also tried web, but someone else on Android got a $20 minimum for the same place.
No tipping for pickup
“DoorDash added a $20 minimum for pickup orders which makes these credits harder to use in a cost-effective way.” Not true as I am still able to order for less than $20 for pickup in my usual place. However another person who also has a CSR had a $20 minimum at the same place. So who knows what sort of algo is driving this.
$15 is better than the previous $5. I remember it used to be $5/mo stackable for up to 3 months. I feel like they just change this every few years to confuse us. Psh.
do you have business version or personal reserve? i see $5 restauratn promo for business reserve.
not showing for biz card
Was able to stack B1G1 offer with this credit to pick up two lunches near the office for ~$2.
I must be the only person (with a Reserve) who is still seeing the original $5 promo instead of $15. Have tried opening/closing the app, updating it etc. Chase is of course blaming DoorDash for this and DoorDash isn’t responding.
Question is: DO THEY STACK? For non-restaurant orders like grocery or retail, I tried on web browsers (not on the apps yet), only the $15 credit show up with a check box to select and the other Two $10 monthly discounts on non-restaurant orders did not show up anywhere to select at all. I wonder the Two $10 monthly discounts on non-restaurant orders will show up after I already used the $15 credit (either restaurant or non-restaurant orders at all) so basically, can’t STACK $15+$10 in one single order at all! Does not help much on non-restaurant orders. The $10 additional on restaurant order help a bit and better than nothing but wish it can stack so we can knock out both or at least one of the $10 non-restaurant order that is very hard to use after INFLATED COST and FEEs as well as MINIMUM Spend and Tip, etc.!
You still can, if you are using an android.
That’s unfortunate if you want to use the $15 for restaurants and use the $10 convenience store credit for small pickup orders. There should be toggles for both discounts.
