Beginning on Janaury 1, 2027, the Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business card will have an enhanced The Edit hotel credit of $1,000 each calendar year. Instead of two $250 credits per year, cardholders will be able to get up to four $250 statement credits for The Edit bookings of 2-nights or longer.
I haven’t found any direct link from Chase regarding this enhanced benefit; it was sent out broadly to media outlets and via email.
Note: the consumer Sapphire Reserve card is remaining the same with two $250 credits per year.
As before, you can use these on back-to-back bookings as well. For example, you can book 4 two-day stays back-to-back and get all $1,000 in credits one 8 day hotel stay. Just clear it with the hotel after booking to ensure they’ll keep you in the same room for all four bookings.
Our Verdict
Solid enhancement here. Some people might not find The Edit benefit valuable, but for those who can use it this is a nice win.

I did this at The Thompson Savannah and this worked.
I used it in Asia with no issue, found a really great deal for 2 nights. Unfortunately, it’s impossible to find anything in the USA.
I wonder how many existing CSR cardholders were disaffected by the refresh’s two-night requirement. For me, it was the single greatest factor that led me to cancel our CSR.
if they do that then it could actually be a deal, good luck!
Juice from the money ninja
I love using my personal Chase Edit credit because I get to pay $200-$300 more per night than what the room costs on the hotel website but I also get free breakfast and late checkout!
So you’re able to book hotels for people other than yourself with this credit?
Cause they don’t actually want anyone to use the credit.
I recently used my CSRB credit at the Kimpton Pittman in Dallas. The property coincidentally tagged on a fake $300 charge after check-out that would have fully absorbed my Edit credits if Chase hadn’t then investigated & reversed. I haven’t had anything happen like this before & sure hope this isn’t some scheme for questionable properties to recoup paying out benefits. I have asked Chase Travel to remove this property from the Edit list.
Worthless card
What a dumb enhancement. The edit is worthless as a card benefit. Make it $500 on a two night stay twice a year and then it is worth it. Finding an edit hotel that comes even close to $250 for two nights is near impossible anywhere except Asia and Las Vegas.
Cope boomer. Cope.
Amex plat business card should. Absolutely. One to stick it to Chase. And two because it really needs more value.
It’s so difficult and expensive to use the credit twice per year that it’s not going to cost Chase much more to offer it four times per year. Chase gets to tout $1,000 in value. You get back more than your annual fee! For most people, this is much ado about nothing.
Even with that nice site, I find this credit (and all the credits analogous to it [ie Amex, Citi, etc]) difficult to use. What I have done though is give it to friends/family who live near the sparse hotels where it makes sense to use them. That way, at least, the credits get used for someone.
People tend to evaluate cards based on the net value of credits over the annual fee. What they don’t add into the mix is the opportunity cost of using the card’s ecosystem (in this case, Chase) versus another card/portal choice. They’ll have a fancy spreadsheet. Oh, I can turn a profit on the credits, so it’s a keeper. But, the bigger consideration is the value of the ecosystem. And, they’re bling to it.
Drop the two night requirement Chase
Impeccable logic from you – you can just use two of them like before if four is so painful for you? I think this card sucks too but your hysterics are over the top.
That’s bad business
CSR personal has a host of benefits that the CSR biz does not–stubhub, restaurant credit. Chase is probably losing customers on the CSR biz, maybe even to the CSR personal, and hoping this will retain them.
I mean even though I understand why, it’s odd 90% of the business cardholders don’t actually have businesses
I’m not saying I booked it I’m saying they’ve offered dogshit 10k rates, to be clear– “send” was ambiguous on my part, I mean sending promotions. I’m suggesting some are obvious overpays but some where the credit covers more than 50% of the stay its hard to say you’re getting “fleeced”
The business version is the one currently lacking, the personal has far more coupons.
Who cares how many useless credits the card has? Why can’t they either drop the 2 night requirement or let you use the entire amount in one stay?
AMEX PLAT should counter and increase FHR credit to $300 x 3.
Would both simultaneous bookings get same benefits of free breakfast for 2 and $100 credit per room? Cardholder would need to book both under his/her name too. Wouldn’t that be a problem?
Are they going to add this improvement to the personal CSR? It is not really fair for the personal card holders to get the same AF but get half of the credits only…
It’s a PITA to use it twice for $250 each. Now doing it for 4 times for $250 each will be MORE PAINFUL than Iran hurting USA currently. If only Chase would let $500 per booking then it would make sense to hold this card… SMH
The issue with that statement is that you think people running $10k for hotel rooms aren’t maximizers. That’s true for some and not for others in this demographic. I find that a good amount of wealthy people try to squeeze as much juice as possible.
This would have been great when the Editmaxxer was around but its been down unfortunately
