Our Verdict
Grocery deals are always nice. This one has a respectable $30 max cashback for some real savings.
Frequentmiler notes that there’s also a Rakuten in-store cashback offer for Stop & Shop, as well a SimplyMiles offer. Those two run on the same network so you’ll have to choose which one of those you want.

Wow, I guess I’m not the only customer getting screwed by Citibank offers. They did the same thing to me. I’ve been burned many times, not getting the reward after making the purchase. They make you jump thru hoops to get a stinking $1 reward. Finally told them to close my master card. Been a customer since 1987, never missed a single payment. Don’t need them anymore.
The one that I remember seeing — it didn’t disapper —, but it went from 20%(?) to 5%(?) to 1.5% where it stayed. It was for Petco It was wild. Never seen that with other credit cards.
Very annoying. I triple check each activation before I purchase and often it’s gone or I have to reactivate.

I’m done with Citi offers. They screwed me over multiple times. You activate the offer, make the purchase and then the offer disappears on the expiration date without a trace. The customer service is useless, even when you tell them you have screenshots. Chase and WF offers work very well and usually pay out as soon as the transaction settles.

I’m always confused by this part… $10 max + may be used 2 times verbiage means, I can get $10 twice? Or once at whatever it is, but maxes in total to $10? Datapoints appreciated.
Be careful with the Citi stop & shop offers. I did a couple of these in June and never got the cash back. When I called about it, they said the offer was for giant foods, not stop & shop. When I told them I had a screen shot, they told me my only option was to print out the screen shots and transaction info and mail it in. I will probably do it soon, but it’s a lot of hassle to save $10 a pop.

I used digital wallet for stop and shop but I also had an offer for BP gas in July and I tapped the card at the gas station and that didn’t work either. I’m done with the citi offers. When I called the customer service they couldn’t even track it in their system as expired, it’s as if I never activated them in the first place.
That’s nothing, I live in Southern California thousands of miles from any Giant store and got the offer on my one card.
Did you use apple pay instead of the card? I got cashback for regular tap but not apple pay

I longer get offer for Carlisle, only for S&S and Landover, but Maryland is way too far, probably just stick to S&S

I used the Citi and Chase offers at Giant last month (2x for each credit card), and I combined it with Upside (Giant is an option in my Area), so I saved about 25-30%. Note: for Bank of America, the BofA offers at Giant cannot be combined with Upside because the BofA Offers are powered by Upside (also says that you cannot stack with Upside – they only pay on One or the Other).

I am in upstate NY/CT border. P1 and I have 6 Citi cards between us. All the offers are for Giant. Not in my area. Offer does not say Stop and Shop in the offering, just Giant.
