Avoiding Fees

Monthly Fees

This account has no monthly fees to worry about.

Early Account Termination Fee

I wasn’t able to find a fee schedule.

Our Verdict

Previously there was a $500 bonus but that was much more difficult to meet the requirements for. I think this is a better bonus for most people and will add it to our list of the best business checking bonus accounts.

Newest-first by default, because “is it still working?” matters most.

Give it a shot in branch. I opened at the Plano branch with a TX biz address that was way out of footprint.

I live in a Dallas zip code and was also given “no coverage” message. I live nearby an FNBO branch and am a previous member

Getting “no coverage” message when I enter a Houston, TX zip on the link. The only FNBO branches in TX are in Dallas. I am thinking this is geofenced when opening online, maybe in-branch is more forgiving on address.

I had no issues opening as a sole prop in branch last year. Give it a shot if you have a branch nearby. William Charles I didn’t notice that they opened up the promo to online applications. Last month it was still in-branch only.

Malibootae#2365571

Applied, and seems they require formation documents. Tried just registering as a sole prop, and no go

It is fairly easy, and much cheaper, to form an LLC on your own directly through SOSDirect. It is also very easy, and free, to obtain an EIN directly from the IRS. IMO paying for a service to do this on your behalf is a waste of money. While I don’t encourage anyone to form an LLC solely for bonuses, I know that many people do it. I’m also reticent to give any advice that could have legal/tax implications. Please do your research and don’t rely on the word of internet strangers like myself.

Is there a service or simple way to open an LCC just for bonuses in TX? Does it automatically provide an EIN?

PI
Pickle Rick🔗👈🏼#2365474

I always bring the following when opening for my LLCs: Formation docs EIN confirmation Operating agreement DBA (if applicable) Good standing doc (if applicable)

LO
lolo#2365470

for an LLC, what documents did FNBO ask you to provide?

That means it’s queued for a repost.

I don’t think you’re slow. I know it’s a lot of work to keep up with all of the posts. I thought you might have been avoiding this one for some reason after I tagged you twice, but it might have just been bad timing.

Thanks, fixed. Also I know I can be slow, but if I don’t repost or update something after a month you can definitely reping me.

Actually it’s kind of funny, when I was in branch last the banker was talking about how popular the promo is. I was thinking to myself, “where are all these people hearing about it if not DoC?” Looks like the title got butchered BTW, the “[E” didn’t get deleted.

Not sure how I missed it, will repost soon.

rawchiggen Sorry that my response is so late — but just in case you still care: the Flagstar bonus was a referral within the family, so I was counting both the referrer ($50) and the referee ($200) portion. But it turns out that ReferLive does not stack with Flagstar’s regular bonus for the referee, so she only got the $500 without the extra $200 VGC.

Been trying to get Will to update this one. Feel bad that I’ve triple dipped while everyone else thinks it’s expired…

Multiple Dip DP: 5/21/2026 Opened Free Business Checking for an LLC in branch, with promo code 250BIZ (kept Chex frozen , no pull attempted as an existing customer) 6/16/2026 $1k+ in total deposits met 6/17/2026 $250 Bonus posted as CONGRATULATIONS. WELCOME TO FNBO. Was a bit anxious about this one as the opening $1 bonus wasn’t credited. Banker confirmed the offer was attached, so not sure what happened there, but it worked out in the end. Recent bonuses for another LLC #2289628 and a sole prop #2130983 didn’t affect this bonus. Feel kinda bad that I’m the only one milking this easy promo… 😔

How did you add two referrals on your flagstar? I am thinking of doing them next and don’t have anyone to refer me.

Westminster. Had a personal account with them before.

Thanks – Those are some nice referrals too.

Bachelor of Credit Family member’s bonuses were done in IL. Three Chex inquiries (the rest were EWS banks). Business bonuses were US Bank $1,000 (now $1,500), PNC $1,000, Wells Fargo $825, BMO $750, Associated $750, Old National $500. Consumer bonuses were: T-B-K $700 +$75 x2 (referral), Old National $650 +$50 (referral), Associated $600, Flagstar $500 +$200 (referral) + $50 (referral). So $7,725. One bonus for another $500 they was unable to open OOF.

#2200565 $8300 bonuses in 2 months? Seriously, I wanna know and I would appreciate, if you can share how many chex inquiries for all and which were some of the highest offers that she did and in which state? Thanks!

I feel ya. I’ve been passing up opportunities because I have a trip to AZ soon. Rarely head that way, so I gotta hit up some FIs I wouldn’t be able to get in with otherwise.
