    • $400 when you open a rewards Checking with promo code 1145. Conduct at least four (4) Direct Deposits of at least $2,500 to your new account within 180 days of opening

The Fine Print

  • Offer valid beginning April 7th, 2025.
  • Offer can be withdrawn at any time.
  • Applicable for consumer accounts only.
  • This offer is only available to customers who currently do not maintain a checking account relationship with Unity Bank.
  • To qualify for a $300.00 cash bonus, you are required to conduct at least four (4) Direct Deposits of at least $1,500 to your new account within 180 days of opening.
  • To qualify for a $400.00 cash bonus, you are required to conduct at least four (4) Direct Deposits of at least $2,500 to your new account within 180 days of opening
  • Direct Deposit must be an electronic deposit of your paycheck, pension, or government benefits (such as Social Security) from your employer or the government.
  • The bonus will be deposited within fourteen days (14) of meeting the promotion requirements.
  • Your checking account must remain in an open status in order to receive the bonus.
  • May be IRS reportable.
  • Unity Bank reserves the right to limit an individual to one account-related gift incentive per rolling 12-month period across all deposit account relationships.
  • All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them

Monthly Fees

  • Everyday checking has a $3 monthly fee. This can be waived if any of the following are completed: irect deposit of $1,000 or more in a statement cycle; 12 POS transactions with Unity Bank debit card; $50 or more transfer to Unity Bank savings account in a statement cycle; Students (age <=24), seniors 65+, & first responders receive no monthly service fee
  • Rewards checking has a $20 monthly fee: This can be waived if any of the following can be done: 12 point of sale (POS) transactions with Unity Bank debit card and one additional qualifier is required to waive monthly service fee. Qualifiers include: Direct deposit of $1,000 or more in a statement cycle; Online banking automatic transfer (any amount) to a Unity Bank Savings Account (per statemet cycle); Combined daily balance of $25,000.00 or more in a Unity Bank savings/MMDA/CD

Our Verdict

Think only the $300 bonus is worth doing as it’s difficult to keep the Rewards checking account fee free. We will add this to our best bank account bonuses.
