Our Verdict
In the current interest-rate environment, even 1% APY on $25,000 is nice, though it probably wouldn’t get me to change my direct deposit. The more interesting part is the ability to get 3% APY which is terrific. It’s also a soft pull to open the account (no Chex either).
Though limited to 10% of paycheck, there’s no stated limit on how much can earn the 3%; if you have $120,000 in paychecks going to One Finance, you can max this out with $12,000/yr going to the 3% Auto-Save account. According to the current rules, that should be able to continue building year over year as you increase the balance – after 2 years you can have $24,000 earning 3%, after 3 years $36,000, etc. (Of course they can always add a limit or change the rate in the future, but for now it sounds good.)
We’ll add this to our list of Best High Yield Savings Accounts.
Thanks to readers Chris R, AA, and Trey for sending this in.

You can stack referral with a portal. Gemsloot has $76.5 offer.
Yes, it’s the Payment tranafer option for Chase biz checking. You’ll pay $2.5 per payment transfer (for first 10 per month)
Wdym by fake DD? Is it pay and transfer option from chase checking?
just ensure dont waste any time with gemsloot offer. they have been a blatant liars and cheaters to nearly all users. they continue to refuse to pay even though it tracks. Just a general advise dont chance if it could work as they will never approve reward.
> I believe I faked my DD with Current when I did the initial bonus I don’t think this is really faking? The terms seem to indicate that any ACH transfer qualifies.
Yeah, I just opened a OnePay account without a face scan. Just had to enter my name, DOB, address, and last four digits of SSN.
I am also privacy-conscious and refuse to do bank bonuses that require facial recognition (or in some cases go in person to avoid a face scan). I was able to open a OnePay account without any issues though. Just had to enter my name, DOB, address, and last four digits of SSN.
This happened when I activated it as well. Note that it also specifically says October and November in that first paragraph after activated.
Wow, amazing. 30mins after I saw your post, started searching my inbox but got nothing, I got the targeted email. Unfortunately only 1/4 account is targeted.
Used your referral!
Thanks! Do you know if apple bank would work as well ?
Yes, numerous people have used Chase (Personal Checking/Savings) account transfers to earn the bonus.
So what is it that you wrote : “ “proceed until “Enter your phone number” page”, which means you need to click “Start Offer” (and any other subsequent clicks) and stop at “Enter your phone number” page”?
Correct
Commenter “Thanks” mentioned something about seeing phone number in the instructions which I don’t see… so I was confused what is he seeing that I do not. So I just open the referral link and leave it open, then sign up thru the portal link?
That’s exactly the two-tab method. You’ll get both referral bonus and portal cashback this way. Rakuten doesn’t have cashback at the moment, but other portals (like Gemsloot) follow the same method.
Would a simple transfer from chase to one pay work to trigger the bonus?
Hey where did you see those instructions? I don’t see this instructions in the link at all
Hi! The only instructions the above comment link is showing is : Just open the Onepay referral link in one tab and simply keep it open, after that open the Rakuten link of $175 in another in the same browser and use it to sign up”. What am I missing?
Thanks!
You have to use an updated referral link. Not all the elements in the URL stayed the same. And, just for clarity, it’s $50 for new customer, and $100 for the referrer now.
Still showing as paused for me?
William Charles referral bonus is back, but $100 per referral now (for referrer) and extended up to October 31.
Can’t thank DOC enough. 7 referral bonuses plus 50 for self. 1450 is a lot of money for a student!
The last one said July 31. I don’t think they were ready for the doc/reddit deluge, and I don’t know where else people hawk referrals
SO SAD. I hope the last person that signed up for me before it ended gets their bonus.
William Charles the referral program is officially dead. The language about being temporarily paused was updated yesterday to no longer available. https://imgur.com/a/if0QvjG
Bonus paid out on Monday, July 20th. Somehow the first ACH push didn’t trigger my referral bonus although the referred got theirs. Tried the same push again, this time it triggered my bonus as well.
Yea, it looks dead. The original referral links all had expiration days for around now.
Ah, having e-mails instead of links has it’s own set of challenges (e.g impossible to enforce one per person). Not our preferred method
