There is a $2 paper statement fee, so remember to opt for eStatements.
Monthly Fees
Connecting checking account’s monthly fee is waived if:

- if any account owner is under age 25
Early Account Termination Fee
Account must be kept open for six months otherwise bonus is forfeit.
Our Verdict
$250 bonuses require less of a deposit but obviously half of the $500 bonus. If you put the $25,000 from the $500 savings bonus account into a 5% account you’d earn $308 so that might not be worth doing. Other bonuses are well worth doing and we will add it to our best bank account bonus page.

Does 6-month opening account requirement count from opening date or bonus posted date?
Thanks, added
3/31 Opened w/ $50 4/10 Pushed $5k from Fidelity CMA 7/13 Pulled $4.5k from Fidelity 8/26 Still no bonus posted William Charles DP for DD, looks like Fidelity CMA doesn’t count.
William Charles Link now shows an earlier end date of 8/31.
Has anyone had experience with dipping below the $5,000 minimum and still getting the bonus? The rep i spoke with said it just resets if its within the first 60 days of account opening. I didn’t read the fine print about a $2 ACH fee to external accounts, ugh. Also some teller at a branch accidently transferred $500 out of my saving account to a random person, nuts! They fixed it, but worried this will void the saving account bonus too.
Account must be kept open for six months otherwise bonus is forfeit. Do they actually enforce it? I already transferred all $$ out.
JZ No.
Does the bank charge $2 ACH fee if I pull the Banner Bank money from another bank, ie, ask another bank to transfer money from the Banner Bank accts?
Adding another DP from the business side: Poster (not me) reports being denied by the system in branch with 10/12, 20/24, then being approved with an override. https://www.doctorofcredit.com/or-wa-ca-id-banner-bank-300-business-checking-100-savings-bonus/#comment-2356303

Thanks as always. Updated
William Charles The consumer offers have been extended to 9/30/26. The business counterpart offers ( https://www.doctorofcredit.com/or-wa-ca-id-banner-bank-300-business-checking-100-savings-bonus/ ) have not been extended, at least not yet.
5k transferred 3/2/26 – $250 shows posting 6/9/26
Real DD finished 2/27/26 and $500 paid out 6/1/26 for checking offer. Funded savings at the start of March but no bonus for that yet.
02/11: opened checking account 02/24: funded $5k into the account 03/05: completed $5k in DDs (from my employer) 06/01: $500 bonus pending
Friday 2/13: Applied to open High Yield Savings with offer, invitation to application portal 2/17: Received email notice that application reviews are delayed 2/18: Received forms to e-sign, account opened 2/19: Funded with $25,000 transfer 5/26: New account opening bonus of $500 posted
kingoflosal Yes, that’s correct. It says so right on the website: “$25,000 minimum opening deposit” https://www.bannerbank.com/new-account-offers/personal-account-offers?Personal%20Account%20Offers
Alex Sorry to hear that. Your experience is consistent with the DPs on this thread. https://www.doctorofcredit.com/or-wa-ca-id-banner-bank-200-checking-bonus/#comment-2288698
I applied today online and was denied with limited info why. I called the bank directly to ask and the rep explained Banner’s policy is to deny anyone with “excessive inquiries” regarding the Chex System and that anyone with over 10 inquiries in a 12 month period in that database will be outright denied. Sad. Was looking forward to that bigger bonus
I called the branch to make an appointment for tomorrow. The rep said to open the HYSA account and get the $500 bonus, I need to deposit $25k on the same day. Is there any DPs for this? It doesn’t make sense, I am not even sure if wire transfer works that fast
No I did not.
Did you try CC funding?
anyone tried CC funding?
Connected Checking $500 bonus posted 1/27/2026: Opened account online 1/30/2026: $5300 DD from Chase Biz ($2.50 fee) 4/29/2026: Held $5000 average balance for 90 days 5/4/2026: Bonus posted as New Account Opening BONUS Did not do either of the savings bonuses
Adding another DP. Approved in branch. Chex: 2/1, 4/2, 6/6, 8/12
For those who have met the required 90 day hold of the $5,000, are you transferring the money out to get interest on the funds elsewhere or are you going to hold it until the bonus posts?
Gotcha…
Sry for late reply. I recall it was pretty messed up already, so maybe I got lucky on this one. I’ll get the numbers and share.
There was a different offer back in 2025. Different requirements. $500 for Checking and $100 for Savings. Not as good as current one.
Little confused by your comments BonusVault💰➕🔗 . You state you received the $500 checking bonus after you did one DD for $1001 and then transferred $24k to meet the $25k requirement but the requirement for the $500 checking bonus is make a $5000 direct deposit. Did you actually mean you got the $500 for the savings bonus?
