Monthly Fees
This account has no monthly fees to worry about.
Early Account Termination Fee
I wasn’t able to find a fee schedule so unsure if there is EATF.
Our Verdict
There is also a small business checking bonus, but this bonus seems to be open in more states.

V Bonus disappeared. I called in and they are aware of issue and working on putting back into accounts.
My bonus disappeared today. Dis this happen to you?
Check your accounts. My $400 bonus just posted today!
Still no bonus here as well. I opened on April 5 and completed the debit and deposit requirements within the first month. This may be the first bonus that I will have to fight for in a very time. 8/15 is the deadline.
Still haven’t received the bonus after signing up in March and completing the requirements at the end of April. But they were very generous to send a marketing promotion email on 8/1 offering five whole US dollars for completing 20 debit card transactions by the end of August.
Same boat – also opened early april and completed requirements 4/26. No bonus as of yet. Interesting, but when i signed up, the banker on the phone told me the bonus for $2,000+ DD was no longer active, so looks like the only bonus i have a shot at is the debit transactions.
As of today, i have not. I sent a secured message to customer service when i was at the 60 day mark, and they informed me that the initial 60 days are the “evaluation period” to see if you’ve met the requirements to be eligible for the bonus. They said if your account meets eligibility then the bonus will be paid out within the next 60 days. The “evaluation period” they mentioned was not in the terms when i signed up back in April. They updated the terms to say that accounts created between March – May 2026 will receive the bonus by 8/15/26. Since this is a very small bank, i assume they updated terms like this on a whim and there’s not much customers (or churners) can do or say. i would not do this bonus unless you are prepared to send multiple messages/calls to customer service. I’m pot committed at this point so i will call them again if i haven’t received the bonus by 8/15, but otherwise not worth the headache if you haven’t done easier bonuses.
Curious if you did receive the bonus. Richard W
No bonus yet (opened early April), called/asked RE bonus and was told it would be applied by 8/15 (per terms). I completed requirements on 4/28. Anna
Anyone received the bonus? Thanks
Did you receive your bonus?
No bonus as of today. Going to wait until the 26th to send a message/call as that’ll be 60 days from the last posted transaction requirement
Did you get the bonus? What happened? Richard W
Are people closing everything with this bank to setup future churns? Or maybe keep the savings open and just close checking?
3/09 – account opened 4/27 – completed 10th debit transaction for $200 bonus requirement 4/28 – sent secured message requesting confirmation the offer code is attached to my account, as the banker who opened over the phone was not the sharpest and switched the checking account i initially planned to sign up for. 6/02 – still no bonus. Have a feeling this is going to require another phone call or message, but ill wait until 6/27 to send. In meantime, sending out some transfers and debit card transactions to make activity seem normal.
Had the same experience when I opened – banker told me they aren’t honoring the extra $200 bonus for direct depositing $2,000. I asked her if she could still apply the bonus for the debit transactions, and she said she would. I just completed the 10th transaction today, so will report back to see when the bonus posts or if i have to get ahold of them again to apply the bonus promo code. Feel like another phone call is in my future
Not sure if you’re still looking for a referral, but if so, i just emailed one to you.
I dont believe they are chex sensitive. I’m LOL/12 and they approved me without questioning anything. I’m not sure if this bonus is worth the hassle though. They require a bunch of hoops to jump through for something so simple as downloading the app/mobile banking on a new device – i tried downloading the mobile app and had to call them to verify the device information. Setting up an external account for transfers is also a pain. They are a small regional bank and dont have the tech resources that big banks do, so im skeptical they will even pay out the bonus or, as im expecting, i’ll have to call yet again and spoon feed them all of the requirements i met to get the bonus.
They are Chex sensitive, so your previous application has nothing to do with it. Rep just used it as an excuse.
I applied for an account online before an year and was declined citing Chex. After an year, today I called them and tried to open new account through Phone by calling 844.711.2265. The rep got all my details and placed the call on hold. After a minute she said that she cannot open an account as my online application was denied an year ago. Has anyone had this experience? getting denied online before an year and declined/approved now through online/phone? Should I give it a try via Online just in case? thanks.
Some people will have them in their profiles, otherwise do a google search.
Where can I find others’ referral links?
IN residents need to open in branch
Declined due to Chex. 13 inquiries past 12 months.
These guys are really making me jump through hoops. Applied 4/3 and was sent email saying app. under review. They called 4/6 to verify identity and address, which i did over the phone. Then sent me a secured message requesting photo ID and selfie (which i already provided), and a utility bill showing my address. I submitted all 3 and been crickets since.
You’re told a half dozen times that you shouldn’t apply. Then you ask if you should?
Won’t let me open out of Indianapolis
I know some online stores that offer discounts to certain workers (like the medical field and teachers), they use a 3rd party ID check system to verify those workers. Maybe, this bank also uses the same ID check system for Military/Veteran ID?
How about asking the bank? This question seems like a legit question you can ask the bank.
I signed up for the $400 bonus last night and was instantly approved. The bank called me today to say the promo code was expired. I never even entered the code because the bank site said it was auto applied using their link. It turns out the new promo code was never updated on the back end. She was aware of the correct promo and told me they will apply my account.
