Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
This account has no monthly fees to worry about.
Early Account Termination Fee
I wasn’t able to find a fee schedule so unsure if there is any EATF but as there is no monthly fee it’s not a huge risk to keep open.
Our Verdict
Spruce Money is built by H&R Block. This isn’t as good as the $100 referral bonus previously offered if you’re in two player mode or were able to refer some people but the base bonus is the same. Some people might prefer to see if a bigger bonus comes along, others will prefer to lock in the $100. Terms also clearly state that this can’t be combined with referral links so please do not try to push your own $50 referrals if you have an existing account. We will add this to our list of the best bank account bonuses.

Just closed it a few minutes ago this way. The CSR reiterated several times that once an account is closed, it cannot be reopened and that one cannot apply for another account ever, a lifetime ban of sorts. Best wishes to Pathward Bank…
My referred sent $210 from OnePay and got her bonus before the 14th business day. I did the same and before her but I haven’t received mine.
You were right on the money. I got it on the 1st.
did you get your bonus?
I used OnePay hopefully it works
Bonus posted 10/1
9/9/26: Account Open 9/10/26: +501 Push from LemFi (Memo: PAYROLL) 9/30/26: +100 Kickstart Bonus Payout
Not yet , they have until 10/2 i believe .
Did you receive your bonus?
Did you get it?
Did it come through?
Terms seem to suggest 14 business days after dd posts.
add yourself as an employee with there payments system and send through there.
Yea mine says Deposit / income. Relay never fails for being used as DD btw.
That’s from old referral offer, will update
You are a legend, thanks! I actually use Brave, so don’t know how I never noticed that Force Paste option before. After doing some searching I also came across a Shift + Right Click feature it apparently has to force the context menu on those annoying sites that block it. Both of these will definitely save some headache, so thank you again for the info and leading me down that rabbit hole.
Brave has a nice “Force paste” function that lets you paste in fields like that. I think it just emulates you typing it. There’s probably some browser extensions you can get that does the same thing.
I just linked and pushed from Cap One 360. If that doesn’t trigger the bonus past DP’s also suggest PayPal push may work. I’ll report back in 2 weeks.
thanks for the dp, yep got that promo email this morning thanks.
Well, great, thanks for blowing the secret.
Ok I see the $100 email notification is inside the app.
I signed thru the link and never got the $100 email confirmation. Did others get the email?
A lot of fintechs don’t populate on Plaid/Yodlee/Finicity. For example OnePay, Current, and Spruce do not show up. SoFi and Chime seem to be a couple of the exceptions. I linked Spruce from a couple accounts including Schwab. Trial deposits arrived in Spruce next day.

Frank Rizzo is an interesting choice of handle. I guess it’s better than Atilla the Hun.
So I can’t use Current to make a DD. So I decided to do it the proper way and do a real DD from my employer. But for some reason, ADP doesn’t like the routing number and will not let me continue unless I change it to something it recognizes. Has anyone else had this problem. I googled the routing number and it is from Pathward National whoever the hell that is. I know one thing, if I ever get the bonus from this piece of shit fintech, I’m going to cancel immediately after.
If it makes you feel any better, it did the same thing to me. The next day I received an email telling me about the $100. So I’m guessing it won’t make a difference.
I could not link Schwab. But Capital One linked normally using trial amounts.
Does anyone have a successful data point of linking to Spruce from an external account? I was able to link from Spruce to SoFi but not the other way around (so unable to push into Spruce). P2 also was unable to link Current and I see similar data points below, making me curious if Spruce is having some issues being linked from external accounts.
Fintech pulls nothing.
