Huge benefit of these two cards!
May be worth upgrading to the Explorer or Quest cards for their PRIMARY auto rental collision damage waiver. I only occasionally fly United but keep the card mainly for this benefit.
You’ll receive a prorated credit for the previously paid fee within 2 billing cycles (60 days) following the upgrade. Your new annual fee will then post within the next 4 billing cycles following the upgrade.

My offer had a minimum spend of $1500. Might want to add that to the post.

Received offers regularly before they bumped the fee to $150 for the Explorer. Haven’t seen one since… Kinda hoping to get another one since I would rather pay 1 cent per mile than to transfer from Chase UR.

Can I upgrade, get the points, and then downgrade again before my annual fee renews in october? Or will they start a new date for my AF?
