The Offer
Targeted offer, sent out via e-mail. Subject line is ‘Earn an extra $125 in cash back’
- Some PayPal cardholders are being offered a $125 bonus when they spend $2,500+ by October 31, 2026.
Our Verdict
Short spend period but still a good offer for anybody that is targeted and can easily meet the spend.

Not targeted for this, apparently. Instead I got an offer for an extra $5 cashback for making a purchase during a 12-day span near my birthday. PayPal checkout online excluded. You have to use the card at the 1.5% rate but no spend requirement (any purchase $0.01+). If it’s your birthday month, look for an email that says “[Name], enjoy a birthday treat, just for you.” I only received an email notice. Nothing else.
I think they meant ambiguous… and only because PayPal just so happens to have another credit card with no base cashback rate that is literally called the “PayPal Credit Card.” It’s the plastic version of digital PayPal credit. FWIW, I often refer to the PayPal Cashback Mastercard as PPMC because that’s how it appears on credit reports, but even that could be confused with the other product.
Wow, I actually have to spend $2500 next week. No email for me 🙁
