The Offer
- TastyTrade is offering a 3% transfer bonus, up to $3,000 cash bonus ($100,000 transfer).
Valid on cash account or IRA account.

The Fine Print
- The Promotion is only available to new platform users. A new platform user for purposes of the Promotion is a user who: (a) has never opened a tastytrade account (in any capacity, including as an individual, trustee of an IRA or other trust, partner, stockholder, or member); and (b) has never received a new account bonus (such as a cash bonus or commission rebate) through a tastytrade promotion.
- Eligible account types are the following: Individual Cash, Individual Margin, Individual Portfolio Margin, or Individual Retirement Accounts (Traditional, Roth, or SEP). You may open one account or multiple accounts. Eligible accounts are referred to as “Qualified Account(s)”. Qualified Customers must make their first deposit within the Promotional Period, with total deposits across one or more Qualified Account(s) totaling at least $1,000 USD (“Qualified Initial Deposit”).
- The 3% Match Welcome Bonus, up to $3,000 USD is calculated on your net funded amount across all Qualified Account(s) through the first 30 calendar days from your Qualified Initial Deposit. Only deposits made within this 30-calendar day window beginning from the first deposit in the first Qualified Account count toward determining the Cash Match amount.
- All deposits made into the Qualified Account(s) during the Cash Match Period, up to $100,000 USD in aggregate, will be counted to determine the Qualified Customer’s Cash Match amount, for a maximum Cash Match amount of $3,000 USD. Any withdrawals made during the Cash Match Period, including any outgoing transfers via ACAT or via other withdrawal methods, will be deducted from the total net deposited amount. For the avoidance of doubt, the thirty (30) day Cash Match Period begins on the date the Initial Qualified Deposit is made into a Qualified Account. Any deposits made outside of the Cash Match Period will not qualify for an additional Cash Match.
- The Cash Match is equal to three percent (3%) of the total net deposits made across all Qualified Accounts during the Cash Match Period, up to a maximum Cash Match amount of $3,000 USD. The Cash Match calculated at the conclusion of the Funding Window represents only the Qualified Customer’s maximum potential bonus. Qualified Customers that meet the Customer Activity Requirements below acknowledge that each installment payment is separate, substantive, and independently earned. The Cash Match will be credited to the Qualified Customer’s Qualified Account over thirty-six (36) months in equal monthly installments (each, an “Installment”). If more than one Qualified Account is opened during the Cash Match Period, the Qualified Account with the most funds deposited at the end of the Cash Match Period will be credited with the Cash Match. The first Installment is credited to the Qualified Account approximately thirty (30) calendar days after the Cash Match Period closes, and the remaining thirty-five (35) Installments will be credited to the Qualifying Account on a monthly basis thereafter. No trading activity is required at any point to receive the Cash Match.
- After the Cash Match Period closes, if any withdrawals are made during the following ninety (90) calendar days after the end date of Cash Match Period that reduce the Final Funding Amount, the entire unpaid Cash Match amount will be forfeited. Any withdrawals made after the ninety (90) calendar day period from the end date of the Cash Match Period that reduce the balance of the Qualified Account(s) below the Final Funding Amount will result in a recalculation of the Cash Match based on the reduced net funded amount, and future monthly Installments will be adjusted accordingly. If a withdrawal causes the balance of the Qualified Account(s) to fall below 80% of the Final Funding Amount, all future Cash Match installment payments will be forfeited. Qualified Customers whose Final Funding Amount is greater than $100,000 USD may withdraw any funded amount in excess of $100,000 USD without affecting the Cash Match amount, provided the Final Funding Amount does not fall below $100,000 USD as a result of such withdrawal(s). Losses due to trading or market fluctuations will not result in reductions to the Cash Match amount to be credited to the Qualified Customer’s Qualified Account. For example: if the Final Funding Amount of $100,000 USD was deposited across Qualified Accounts during the Cash Match Period, the Qualified Customer will receive $83.33 per month credited to their Qualified Account with the most funds deposited, over 36 months (total maximum Cash Match of $3,000 USD). If, after receiving 2 monthly Installments, the Qualified Customer withdraws $20,000 USD within the first ninety (90) calendar days from the end date of the Cash Match Period, the entire unpaid Cash Match is forfeited. If the same $20,000 USD withdrawal is made after ninety (90) calendar days, the new net Final Funding Amount is $80,000 USD, the new Cash Match amount is $2,400 USD, and future monthly Installment amounts will be recalculated for the remaining months. If the Qualified Customer withdraws all funds leaving the remaining Installments at $0, there will be no clawback of Installments already paid.
- In order to be eligible for an Installment in any given month, Qualified Customers must access their Qualified Account(s) at least once during the prior calendar month via authenticated session through the tastytrade platform (web, desktop, or mobile application). If a Qualified Customer is ineligible to receive an Installment due to the Qualified Customer failing to meet this condition the Qualified Customer will forfeit their Installment for that month. The Qualified Customer will be eligible to receive their next Installment provided the condition described here is met prior to the end of the next calendar month following the month in which Qualified Customer was ineligible for an Installment.
- Qualified Customers must maintain no less than 80% of their Final Funding amount in their Qualified Account(s); failure to do so will result in forfeiture of all future installment payments. Losses due to trading or market fluctuations will not result in reductions to Cash Match amounts to be credited to the Qualified Customer’s Qualified Account. Qualified Customers depositing greater than $100,000 during the Funding Window are required to maintain 80% of $100,000, the maximum Final Funding Amount.
- For avoidance of doubt, failure to qualify for an Installment will reduce the maximum potential payout a Qualified Customer is eligible to receive.
- Taxable Accounts: the Cash Match will be reported on an annual Form 1099-MISC if the total promotional income for the calendar year meets the applicable IRS reporting threshold. IRA Accounts: the Cash Match credited to an IRA is treated as earnings of the IRA and is not reported as customer income on Form 1099-MISC. The Cash Match does not count toward IRS annual contribution limits for transfer- or rollover-based funding.
Our Verdict
3% match for 3 years is a solid deal, though the $100k makes it less exciting for people who like do large balance transfers. This deal is no comparison to the old 4% match deal, but that one is never coming back, and overall this is a solid deal.
I once got a TastyWorks bonus and won’t be eligible for this one. I also personally prefer deals that aren’t dragged out over so many years (which also results in many years of brokerage forms to deal with at tax time), but it’s really nice that they credit the bonus monthly and you aren’t really locked into the full promo period.
It also might be possible to somehow stack with $100 TastyTrade referral bonus. (If this is confirmed to work, we might briefly unlock the referral thread for new comments.) Regardless, be sure to use code BRINGIT2026 so you know that the main promo is applied.
Readers highlight that this deal works out especially well if you do a Roth IRA transfer and the bonus money gets deposited directly into the Roth. You can even open two accounts and transfer $51k into the Roth and $49k into the regular brokerage, and the entire bonus will go into the Roth.
We’ll add this to our list of Best Brokerage Bonuses.
Hat tip to reader Karen

Tastytrade support said bonus might get delayed till end of month, there is some backend server change they’re working on
They are now offering tiered bonus: https://tastytrade.com/sweet-bonus/#terms
has anyone got paid on the bringit2026 offer yet? how long did it take from your first deposit?
This only works out to about a 5.5% cagr in cash? Not there there is anything wrong with that….
TY
For me personally this seems like a good deal to park my P2’s 42K in IRA’s. Hard to find any good deals on IRA’s at that level. But I don’t think I’ll top it with stocks/cash as I can use that for better deals on other bonuses.
True, but that’s $250K and this is only $100K (or less!). I’d say that this is an excellent bonus if you’re between the tiers on other bonuses.
There is also Wells Fargo Premier bonus that accepts IRA’s churnable yearly
I’m trying to understand this. Chase/JP Morgan has $325 for $100K for a 45 day hold, churnable every 12 months from enrollment. Merrill has $400 on $100K for a 90 day hold. Churnability is unclear, but let’s stipulate 1/year (but there’s a DP of someone who got caught churning and was given a smaller bonus). Citi doesn’t have a $100K level, but at the $50K level you get $500, hold period of 30 days, churnable let’s say once a year. So that’s $1225 per year, with at least one of the bonuses being doubtfully churnable, and you have to rotate through 3 different brokerages 3 times each. Holding $3K steady for 3 years and receiving a bonus monthly (plus being able to peace out whenever and keep whatever you’ve gotten) seems reasonably comparable.
Merrill, Chase, Citi have better deals than this one all the time. This is a mid offer compared to those brokerages.
At the beginning of that paragraph, it makes clear that *all* accounts are aggregated for the purposes of calculating the reward; the term I cited is later in the paragraph, and is meant to clarify into *which* account the bonus (calculated against all deposits in all qualifying accounts) will be deposited: “The Cash Match is equal to three percent (3%) of the total net deposits made across all Qualified Accounts during the Cash Match Period , up to a maximum Cash Match amount of $3,000 USD. “
I got on a bonus when it was called TastyWorks years ago, so I’m sure I’m ineligible.
sorry im still confused. I read this part as if I transfer 49.9k brokerage and 50.1k IRA only the IRA would get the 3% match. is that not right? the Qualified Account with the most funds deposited at the end of the Cash Match Period will be credited with the Cash Match.
I’m one of the few that is eligible for Tasty (missed the last promo and kept bookmarking this brokerage and never getting around to it) I truly think if the $3,000 came to you in lump sum, it would be so freaking sweet. But the $83 monthly for 3 year duration / for 100k assets moved over can be such a slow crawl. I have some Dividend ETF’s that generate me some cashflow. I think I’ll give a call to Tasty to confirm if those can be pulled out successfully without interfering with the bonus
not much point in my mind. 3% match on a non-ira for 36 months is not great. Only worth it for the IRA
If you don’t have the full 100k in IRA money, you can get the full $3k by supplementing with non-ira stock and the full bonus will still be tax-free.
i dont understand, what is the point of moving 49.9k to brokerage here if youre going for the bonus on IRA $?
the language I saw said you had to have an open position or access it once a month..I took it to mean youre fine as long as you have assets in there. do you think thats not right and you actually have to login monthly to get the bonus $?
I guess that’s not necessary though I thought it was 100K minimum originally.
Answering my own question: TT appears to reimburse up to $75 in fees
fees : Outgoing ACAT : $75 IRA Closing Fee: $60 Not sure if TT reimburses fees when transferring in. Anyone know?
Interesting. This does still allow you to get the match on 80K worth of IRA’s and use 20K cash for 90 days to top it up. That could be good for someone who doesn’t quite have 100K in IRAs. I wouldn’t really want to keep 20K of cash/stocks in for 3 years, but for 90 days it makes sense.
It’s 3% on the original amount that goes in
So if I had a Tastyworks account but never received a bonus, I’m not eligible for this offer?
Just noticed this in details above for those taking advantage of this promotion: Customer Activity Requirements In order to be eligible for an Installment in any given month, Qualified Customers must access their Qualified Account(s) at least once during the prior calendar month via authenticated session through the tastytrade platform (web, desktop, or mobile application).
Giving $10k to folks like me who parked $250k in SGOV doesn’t seem sustainable…
No, the match is adjusted if you make withdrawals after 90 days (and forfeited entirely if you make a withdrawal within 90 days): Final Funding Amount Maintenance After the Cash Match Period closes, if any withdrawals are made during the following ninety (90) calendar days after the end date of Cash Match Period that reduce the Final Funding Amount, the entire unpaid Cash Match amount will be forfeited.
There’s an interesting term here that makes this bonus even sweeter: “If more than one Qualified Account is opened during the Cash Match Period, the Qualified Account with the most funds deposited at the end of the Cash Match Period will be credited with the Cash Match.” In theory, you could transfer an IRA with $50.1K and combine with a taxable brokerage at $49.9K and the whole bonus would go into the IRA totally tax-free. (That’s just taking the max number; any IRA > taxable combo would get this treatment.)
Thanks! Another maybe dumb question…say I ACATS transfer 90k from a brokerage. Then the investments go up to 95k in value during that 30 day window. Do I get 3% back on the gains? Or is it only on new money at the value at time of transfer?
Yes you can do a partial ACAT
