Our Verdict
Better than the $100 bonus previously offered, hopefully it’s still available in this many states. Worth doing if you’ve already done the larger bonuses available.

I actually asked you that for the opposite reason that you apparently think that I did. In case you are not aware, a small amount of MACU branches changed over to Sunward, earlier this year. Due to that, I was curious if being a Sunward member would prevent us from becoming MACU members. If this was a larger bonus and/or MACU didn’t pull Chex, I would probably be the DP that I wanted to see.
DP: 12/11/2025 Opened membership w/ MyStyle Checking OOS in branch in AZ, with promo code DISTRICT2025 (kept Chex frozen ) 12/17/2025 $1 Push from Neighbors Bank 12/17/2025 $150 Bonus posted as Deposit ACCT OPE Banker mentioned they would need to pull Chex, but then opened the account with any further mention. He used a promo code I haven’t seen yet, which appears at https://www.macu.com/cp/checking/district . Not sure if it is geo-restricted. Bonus posted at the same time as my first ACH transaction. From KG’s DP, I suspect that any ACH transaction will trigger immediate payout. Will try to downgrade to MyFree Checking via SM next month.

Over the phone was told ACC members qualify as well.
Saw there was $1 fee to close 2 comments above so I waited till my first statement, made a payment and called to downgrade the account, no fee and no push back from the rep. Planned to close it at first but I’ll keep it open to avoid causing issues with Chex and I’ll my $1.
