The Offer

Direct link to offer (pdf warning)

  • Air Academy Federal Credit Union is offering a referral bonus of $100 to both parties when you open a new Kasasa checking account and the person opening the account completes the following requirements (looks like they might need to be done for three consecutive months):
    • Have at least 12 debit card purchases post and clear
    • Have at least 1 direct deposit or automatic payment (ACH) post and clear
    • Be enrolled in eStatements

The Fine Print

  • All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them

Avoiding Fees

Monthly Fees

Both of the kasasa checking accounts have no monthly fees to worry about.

Early Account Termination Fee

According to the fee schedule there is an early account termination fee of $10 if closed within six months of account opening.

Our Verdict

Previously we’ve seen a bonus of $200 that didn’t require a direct deposit. That was obviously a bigger bonus and easier to meet the requirements for so not sure how interesting this bonus will be for most people. Feel free to share your referrals in the comments.
