New Credit Cards For 2026 (Launched, Announced & Rumored)

Inspired by this reddit post I thought I’d put together a list of new cards for 2026 that have either already been launched, have been announced or are rumored to launch this year. 

New Cards

• Chase IHG Premier Select
• Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) Launches New Flagship Premier Rewards Card
• Barclays Carnival Rewards Mastercard
• X money this is actually a debit card but is claiming 3% cash back on all (most) purchases.
• FNBO Launches ‘Complete Rewards® Visa Signature® Card’
• NFL Extra Points American Express® Credit Card
• Robinhood Platinum card with $695 annual fee. Comes with lots of credits, but not all are valuable. Card already launched for select invited members. 
• Barclays Samsung Galaxy. $200 bonus + 3% unlimited on Samsung Wallet purchases. 
• Intuit Business Card. Requires a paid Intuit account but has $300 bonus and 2% cash back. 
• PNC Spend Wise Credit Card. 0% APR for 18 months, but a 4% balance transfer fee.
• Aven Launches Bitcoin Backed Card. Launched 5/8/26. Similar to the home equity backed card.
• Bank of America Royal One. Royal Caribbean cards with a bonus of up to $750. 
• Chase Disney Inspired, officially launched on February 3rd and offering a $600 sign up bonus and $149 annual fee. 
• Wells Fargo Autograph Journey Card – Premier & Private Bank Versions launched on February 18 basically a reskin of the Autograph Journey card. 
• Current Max. Not technically a credit card but paying the $10 month bumps grocery spend up to 3x. 
• Spirit debit card. Again not a credit card. 
• American Express Graphite Business Cash Unlimited Card. Launched 3/25 with a $1,500/$2,000 bonus.
• Bank of America Royal Caribbean Credit Cards. Cards don’t really seem useful.

Announced Cards

• PenFed Defender card will launch in Fall 2026. Card has 5x on Gas/EV and 3x on Grocery, Dining, Streaming and more. Points are worth .85%.
• Chime Prime offering 5% cashback on categories with a $1,500 monthly cap. Full rollout in Spring 2026
• American Express Fanatics. Sometime in 2026. 

Rumored Cards

I’ve tried to order these ones in terms of most likely to least likely. 

• Chase Hyatt Premium card, Chase sent out a survey in 2023 and then somebody made up a rumor regarding a Chase Park Hyatt card. In late 2025 Hyatt did say ‘Additionally, Hyatt plans to expand its card portfolio as Hyatt and Chase continue to grow their relationship’. I expect something will launch and would be surprised if it wasn’t a premium card.
• Barclays Samsung Card. Sources seemingly confirmed this with WSJ. 
• American Express Ultra Premium Delta. Rumor was shared by somebody that has had reliable information in the past but haven’t heard anything since. 
• Citi Strata Premier. Not a new card, but increased annual fee to $195 was survey among other changes. 
• American Express Bonvoy Brilliant Business survey was sent out last year, I’d expect this card to launch sometime in 2026 unless market conditions deteriorate further. They also surveyed other changes to existing cards.
• Bank of America & Alaska Air have announced expansion of their partnership and hinted at new cards and refreshes
• Chase Premium Aeroplan card. Similar to Hyatt above but without the confirmation from Aeroplan that Hyatt has. 
• Citi American Airlines Business not really new card but changes to an existing card but a survey was sent out
• American Express Business Gold, survey was sent out with a possible annual fee increased to $495.
• Chase Southwest. Survey regarding lounges and also changes to Priority card. 
• Discover IT, again not really a new card but it’s possible changes are made to this card with the Capital One takeover. 
• Capital One Savor X, has been rumored for a long time but I don’t think we have seen anything to suggest it will actually launch. Suspect Capital One has a lot going on with Discover acquisition. 
• American Express Green. One of the only American Express cards that hasn’t been refreshed. 
• Capital One Mid Tier Card. Survey was sent out mid 2025 but haven’t heard anything since. 
• Wells Fargo Autograph Beyond. Trademark was filed at the same time as Autograph Journey but card has never launched, supposedly a premium card. 
• Chase increasing annual fee on Sapphire Preferred to $150 with no change in benefits. Given how poorly the Sapphire Reserve changes were received (and how well the American Express Platinum changes were received) I doubt we see this unless they also add new benefits.
