Our Verdict
Not as good as some of the previous transfer bonuses:
- April 1 – April 30, 2025: 20%
- May – May 31, 2024: 20%
- January 14th – February 14th, 2019: 25%
- November 1st – November 30th, 2018: 25%
- February 2nd – March 6th, 2015: 20%
- June 18th – 30th, 2004: 25%
But has been some time since we have seen a bonus so if you have a need for these now is the time.
I have transferred miles to AM several times, and each time I have regretted it. Their system will show you flights that are just not available but you won’t know until you click the final confirmation button, by which time you’ve already transferred your miles. The last time was the most egregious. I was unable to complete my booking online and had to call in. When I did, the rep enrolled me in $60-something insurance without asking. I had to make an FAA complaint to get it reversed.
