A list of the best current credit card sign up bonuses & offers for October, 2026. We update this page on a daily basis with any new deals and include all bonuses (we don’t use any credit card affiliate links so we can remain unbiased unlike other sites).

Given how popular our best bank account bonus page is, I thought I’d try my hand at something similar for credit card bonuses. This page will be updated regularly, so feel free to bookmark it and share it on social media/forums (I’ll also add it to the header under credit cards to make it easily accessible). Keep in mind we do not use credit card affiliate links, so this is an unbiased list.

A few final thoughts before we get to this list:

  • There will be a random amount of entries on this list at any one time dependent on how many cards I currently think are worth signing up for.
  • I’ll be taking into account whether a bonus is at it’s highest level ever or not (mostly because I don’t think an offer is truly the best if it regularly goes up to a higher level or I suspect it’ll go to a higher level in the near future).
  • I won’t be taking into account special application rules (e.g Chase 5/24 rule or American Express once per lifetime rule), but I will mention them clearly on the individual review pages.
  • If there is a card that is popular and I haven’t included, I’ll put it under “Not On The List” and explain my reasons why.

Keep in mind that having a clear goal will help you decide what the best cards for you are! If you don’t want to travel and just want to earn cash back, then the best card for you will be different than somebody that wants to fly first class to Paris and stay in 5 star accommodation.

I’m looking for credit card sign up bonus that is $200 for $1,000 spent and I have already done all the big banks like Chase, Capital One, Citi, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo. Are there any smaller banks that you guys know that offer the $200 SUB for $1,000 spend?

My grocery store drains gift cards without asking them to split a purchase. TOm But, who knows if yours does? Some utility bills, insurance, will take a small debit card payment online. Not sure where to post this but… I received a MC debit gift card with $4.46 balance on it. I used to transfer the balance to the Amazon gift card but now Amazon will only do transfers if the debit gift card has a $5 min balance on it. I have no clue on how to drain this debit card to zero. I prefer to spend it at Amazon but any suggestions are highly appreciated.

USB, I don’t see a FICO option. USB = 828 Based on VantageScore® 3.0 as of 09/08/2026 My BMO checking acct online banking uses creditviewdashboard.com, just like USB. WF = 808 Updated 09/08/2026 FICO® Score 9 Experian® data BMO adverse action doesn’t say the model. Just says 734/850. Trans Union is mentioned on the letter. I guess I could try to call “recon” and see if they will tell me anything.

KA
Karl#2408313

10/30 is too many accounts with balances, but no way could that account for a 60+ point change. Not even close. You can have up to 21% of cards showing small balances with no effect on FICO 8. So with 30 open cards, anywhere from 1-6 balances would be optimal. But again, a 60 point drop for 10/30 would be ridiculous. I wonder if BMO is using a different scoring model. Did they mention which version? BoA, Barclays and Discover are all FICO 8 (the most common). Wells Fargo gives a FICO 9 score (albeit EX) and US Bank uses FICO 10 so maybe you could compare those. Or possibly BMO was using an internal score, like Chase? I’d love to know where they got that score, it just seems ludicrous.

BMO adverse action letter states: Lack of recent installment loan information (Closed one last year after paying one monthly payment on it.) Lack of recent retail account information (Like I want a store card in the 2020’s?) Too many inquiries last 12 months (Two on TU, including this one by BMO – LOL) Too few accounts currently paid as agreed (Total BS) Used Transunion Credit Score = 734 (seems low) I think the real reason is I have too many open CC accounts (30)…
